    You are AMAZING - I love that you show different methods / tools for the same job, and you explain it as if you are talking to a kid - and that makes it all the more easier for weekend warriors like myself! Kudo's to you and your crew!

    Very informative. I am addicted to raw honey so it is time to become a bee keeper. I LOVE woodworking and not afraid of bees so here goes. I live in Maryland and plan to watch all of your videos and use your plans also! I will keep you posted... thanks!

    Nice job there. I've never heard of painting the inner cover, I thought you leave it bare to help soak up some moisture, mine are anyway. Good video

    Brilliant videos. Could you tell me please what is the make and model of the table saw you use?

      The table saw is a Ridgid 10-inch portable with stand. It is sometimes referred to as a "contractor's saw" because it can fold up and be rolled around. This saw can be found at Home Depot (www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-15-Amp-10-in-Heavy-Duty-Portable-Table-Saw-with-Stand-R4513/100090444) and elsewhere. I really like it. It performs well and is accurate. I would suggest several accessories. A stacked dado blade (I use a Frued) and several additional inserts (such as www.homedepot.com/p/SawStop-Jobsite-Saw-Dado-Zero-Clearance-Insert-TSI-DJB/304901814). Be sure to get an insert that will fit your table saw (the one referenced above may not). Use the inserts to make "zero clearance" inserts.

    How does painting the inside of your hives work for you are you in a damp area like Washington state I just wonder

    Do you through away the glue brushes, or clean and reuse them, if you reuse them, then how do you clean them.

    • @beekeepersworkshop
      @beekeepersworkshop  6 лет назад +1

      I reuse the brushes. They are cheap, but I am cheaper. I use Franklin's Titebond glue (exterior) at it washes out with plain water. You have to clean the brushes as soon as you are done otherwise the glue sets up. I have brushes that have lasted at least a year, maybe longer. As I said, I am cheap.

    Found the PDF for the telescoping outer cover on your site.
    The end of this video mentions a build video for that.
    I can't find the outer cover video on your page. What's up with that?

    Is this your shop, or are you a professor at a university or college.

    • @beekeepersworkshop

      It is my humble shop here at home. I am not a professor. Just a beekeeper who likes working in the wood shop and sharing with other beekeepers.
