Excellent video. Until the last moment, I was leaning towards ICICI prudential infrastructure fund and SBI infrastructure fund. But when you explained about cyclic nature of these mutual funds, I am back to square one. Now I am confused whether to invest in them or not. Yes, during COVID time, how can any growth happens in these mutual funds when people are dying and others are locked in their homes and everything else is shut down for a year or more. That was a difficult time for everyone. But what about now and the future? Is it still cyclic? Or will there be any growth? I think you already answered my question when you said if I am looking at less than 5yrs, then I should be far from this. I am really sad. It was an interesting video though.

But it's essential to assess risk tolerance and stay updated on market trends. Also I wouldn't invest more than 5 to 10% of portfolio in thematic fund. Plz remember not an advice or recommendation.

Hi dear, there is no one website that provides all data for all funds of a particular category in one table or one screen. So all the data I show was collected from multiple credible websites and then I created the table manually.

Dear Shrija, what if i choose top 3 Infra funds, track their NAV every month and invest on month on month basis in a disciplined manner (not SIP)in the Infra fund which is showing best appreciation. what is the downside of such investment strategy?
I am not an advisor dear but this strategy of investing in 3 infrastructure mutual funds is not a good idea in my opinion. It is a thematic fund my friend in which ideally we should not have more than 10% exposure of total portfolio. Because you may try to monitor it closely but it is very very difficult to time the market dear, even experts fail to do that. But yea in general if you ask my view on infra sector then yes India's fast growth story cannot be achieved without infrastructure development. So among thematic funds infra is a good theme to pick but the investment horizon have to be longterm. Not an advice or recommendation.
