STS in mad scientist mode, love it! I just strapped a A12x25 onto a Thermalright SI-100, yes a $32.95 fan on to a $24.19 cooler, and had some incredible results... People need to do this more.
Now that fan upgrades is being discussed, it would be really helpful if you can slap better fans (T30, A12-25, P12 Max, icegale, ...) on top performing air coolers like the Dark Rock Pro or Phantom Spirit to test their maximum capability. This could also spur another section in your fan reviews where you test for the how it performs on best performing heatsinks and another section for air coolers where you test how well the heatsink does when the fan performance is maxed out. Thank you for your great video and keep up the fantastic work
I wonder how good a set of S12038-4K fans would be on it, both at max RPM and with a tamed curve where they're not so loud, being a pretty thick single tower cooler with a fairly high fin density I wonder it the higher pressure 38mm fan could provide a significant benefit with a fan curve that tames it closer to the stock Freezer 36 fans.
I need Arctic to make a dual tower version of this. Even at single tower, it can beat some dual towers. Imagine what would happen if this had dual towers
I wonder what the 36 can do if you put Be Quiet Pro 4s on it. Should be quieter, at least. I am probably gonna pick one of these up for my editing PC which is currently sporting a 6 y/o 240 AIO.
I've done this same experiment with an AIO from Cooler Master, those fans are actually pretty good for my case that can´t handle the Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 (radiator height) but a slimer one as the ML240L.
I have a Arctic Freezer 36 Black with 2 Phanteks D30(Regular & Reverse) in a Phanteks NV7 Case with Phanteks D30 Casefans...i like the Freezer 36 😊. I think with Phanteks T30...this little man could cool anything...😂
I want to see a T30 on all sorts of air coolers... Only thing is due to the 30mm width it isn't going to work with any coolers designed for 25mm clips.
Noise really matters to some people though. I am in love with my Galahad 2 LCD 360 AIO cooler because it is dead silent with my custom curve and my 14900k is always cold.
My PC used to sit on my desk, and at 1000 RPM, the noise was so loud it gave me annoying tinnitus in my ear, lol. But once I moved my PC under my desk, even at 3000 RPM arctic p12max the noise doesn't bother me anymore. It's like going back to the Intel Pentium days when PCs were mostly placed under desks, equipped with noisy ass Delta 120mm fans, and no one really minded the noise. my guess is placing your PC under the desk provides superior noise insulation lol
Hi all, does anyone have this set up for the 7800x3d? If so what rpm do you suggest for gaming without it sounding like a jet engine while maintaining good temps?
The new generation NH-D15 will be released this year, the old version was released 10 years ago and is still at the top. It will switch from 6 heat pipes to 8 pipes and will be modified with new generation 14cm fans. Currently even nh-u12a exceeds nh-d15. Arctic's 420mm liquid cooling is tremendous, it always makes more sense to me to buy Noctua for air cooling and Arctic for liquid cooling.
@@MedicalCookie94 they've been saying that for many years lol for what we know, the next gen D15 might not come out this decade U12A does not exceed the D15
@@Violet-ui I couldn't wait for the new D15. I decided to buy the Dark Rock pro 5, very expensive but it is nice for my all black cooler. Fans are quiet
is this the reason Why Arctic Freezer 36 "Black" was gone (or they pulled out) on our local online store and i ended up to Assassin X120R yesterday :( ....... send me one ARCTICCC :)

I just threw to the bin, 2 of A12x15, those fans are super ugly. Never will buy noctua again.
I will probably put a noctua ipcc industrial 3000 fan on this cooler next week, we'll see how it goes ahah
Want to see a Phantom Spirit MAX.
Or perhaps a match up with some T30's lol.

The fact that this cooler can cool a 13900k is madness

Yes, Arctic did update the P12 Max and allegedly it fixed the issue but I can't confirm.

what I’m saying I just ordered a arctic 36 black for my 7600x because of ram clearance curious to see how this performance
Or just a 140mm variant of the freezer 36. Or a freezer 36 with 6 heatpipes
I thought the exact same, posted it directly after the release under arctics release video!
The only con about P12 Max is everytime i start up my PC, it's like a jet gonna take off.
All P12 MAX and P14 MAX are all FDB now

Can you test the Alpenföhn Gletscherwasser 360 HS?
you should try putting a cat in a cardbox box along with a max and let it go full speed and share your findings.
Arctic should just sell MAX Cpu Coolers that come with the P12 Max Fans, including Push/Pull Configs for their AIOs
Please tell me. Is it possible to mount it vertically?
I want that the air to goes from below to up (to the top of the case).
I swapped out mine for Noctua A12x25's , having my case running full Noctua's, Best swap ever
Theyre only slightly better though... for a wayyyyyy higher price

Would the noise and performance be any better with T30 in advanced mode?
Please test the P12 MAX WHITE

Step 1: buy open air case
Step 2: mount it on a bearing
Step 3: spinny spinny woooooo
I have a DeepCool AK500S that i swapped one P12 max onto, about 2 degrees better than the stock fan at lower speesd. I'm gonna do a second one.

I wonder how the cooler will perform with Phantek T30 or Lianli P28 😃
Which are the quietest fans out there, when running at 3000?
The MAX sounds like an airplane taking off ✈️ ✈️
Sounds like that but is worthy for your hardwork loads
Put P12 Max on 280 Aio and u get pefromans of 360. Beast
This is quieter and better than the Noctua NH-D15? Wow

Now use 2xP14 MAX on D15 or , p12 max + p14 max...
ZOMG -2.4C YAAYYY
Ball bearings are more reliable !!!
now test Phanteks T30 on it, please

Day 2 of asking for a review of the Corsair "Maglev" fans. Are they pure marketing hype?
p14 max please
