    -- Spec Confusion
    As some of you pointed out, the specs stated at 00:50 are NOT the ones Arctic states on their website.
    After a short panic attack - those are the specs written on the box.
    I have reached out to Arctic to get more information on this matter, either the Website or every P14 Max packaging got the wrong numbers.
    There will be an update as soon as we get an answer.

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  7 месяцев назад +14

      Update ---
      There was indeed an error on the packaging of the first few batches.
      The correct Stats are:
      95CFM / 4.18mm/H2O
      According to Arctic, this error has since been corrected. However, this also means that there are who-knows-how-many P14 Max fans floating around with the wrong Specs on the box.

      @@STSYT Thanks for the update! Awesome that you follow up that kind of stuff. I saw some people complaining about whirring/buzzing sound. Similar to what some of the P12 Max's were struggling with. I didn't hear any in your video but, did you notice any weird noise in general?

      @@vedomedo Nothing noticable from far. If pressed against my ear while spinning, you could hear some sort of breaking grinding noise, but that was only at close range. I hope that doesn't become louder, but if it will, I'll update again ^^

      Awesome to see an Arctic employee in the comments! I have a question for you. The fans themselves are markedet as having "Fluid Dynamic Bearing", but in specifically hwbusters' review he states the fans are "Rifle bearing and not FDB as advertised". I was going to order a pack of these but reading that made me a bit worried. If that review is false, I would advise you to contact them and let them know.

      for the price I'd agree. There's less competition in that size of AIO as well. I have the LFII and see no reason to push/pull however. The LFIII has a higher speed pump which is its main advantage. An advantage it wouldn't need if Intel i9 wasn't pushing 300watts.

    • @ac1dflare937
      @ac1dflare937 7 дней назад

      It would be near pointless, interesting but 🤷‍♂️there is only so close to ambient you can get. And that's ignoring the chip itself and the mobo unless you are pumping insane voltage for some benchmark (nobody is doing a max over clock 24/7) what's the point if it runs 1 or 2 degrees cooler if it's extreme cooling then you get a chiller. Or on a budget run tubing or even radiator into an ice water bucket (been there done that😁)
      I once considered running pipe into our outdoor pond and use water of pond to cool the water in the loop.........needless to say wife not amused.
      Not going to lie I am curious. I have a 480mm rad and found at stock chip cooled to acceptable levels passive. Even over clocked it's not unmanageable. I do also have a 360mm rad and a 240 from a guy giving up on water cooling which would ALL fit my case Enthro Primo. Kinda tempted to just bung them all in next CPU I mean it's a shame to waste them right 👍
      I would love to see at what point cooling potential (thermal mass, radiator etc) does not matter as there is only so much heat can be transferred at a time

    I love these P12 and P14 max fans. Yes, you need to tune the fan curves, but they're like 90% of the best performance you can possibly get, for 30% of the price. One of the things I really appreciate is that they start spinning at very low PWM values (>5% I think) so you can really use the whole PWM range - it's perfectly possible to have these run at 600rpm with the *option* of 2800rpm if you suddenly find a CPU+GPU load that dumps 800W of waste heat into your case all of a sudden.

    The Max series suffered from a bearing noise issue. Their bearing was changed in recent batches and now it's fine but there's still a chance that you'll get ones with old noisy bearings so either wait some time until those old batches disappear from the market or make sure you can return them if you get those.

For lower speeds Lian Li's Unifan are up there and Bequiet's Silent Wings 4 are amoung to top ones. Basically the 28-30mm width fans rule the roost for noise to performance normalised.

      @@hinchlikescake7592 yeah especially the affordable and widely available ones lika Arctic, I can't find a T30 anywhere near me and it's expensive enough for me to have to pay like 20-30% import tax on top of its current $35/40 or so, which would push it closer to $50, an absurd price for a single fan.

    The argb version has been unobtainable here lately in the US.

      Hmmm $21 on Amazon right now. P14 ARGB

      @@davidfluty7213 I should have been more precise. The 5 pack of argb ones don't seem to be available anymore but the 5 pack all black ones are available. I remember watching a YT video where the guy put the part number for the 5 pack in his video. Maybe they discontinued the 5 pack argb. Newegg also stocks the singles at 21.95 and the non-rgb 5 pack for 69.69.

      I should have been clearer (my fault) and say the 5 pack ARGB in 140mm, I tend to be brief when pecking on my phone but now I'm on my desktop. The singles are available on Newegg and Amazon (I'm not putting the dollar amount this time, maybe that's why the MACHINE blocks my comment??) and the 5 pack in non ARGB as well.
      I watched a video of a guy (need to check my view history) and he was reviewing the 5 pack P14 argb and even put the part number on the screen. The part number works on Arctic website but when you click the button to go to the store it takes you to their Amazon store but no 5 pack argb is there. You can get the 3 pack argb (for fifty USD) and 5 pack non-argb (for forty USD) though.

    I put the 3k RPM 80mm version of this on my RX580 when I redid the thermals. It won't break 67c 😂

      @@plsbanhackers9031 I modified the frame with a dremel. Measured and tapped the 2mm screw holes and attached Ihem to the case. The 2048sp has 2 4-pin connectors.

    I love the P12 max for its double ball bearing. It's nice to know that I bought a fan - and it's actually eternal. Yes, if you're not lucky, it will be a little noisier, but as a rule it's a trifle, you still can't hear behind the airflow.
    and the P14 max FDM has a bearing, i.e. it is a valve for a couple / several years (if you are lucky).
    I miss thermalright TY-143, it cost a penny, it makes noise depending on the speed - not much, it's a pity that they are no longer produced.
