  • In this video we present the technique Katate-dori jujinage.
We explain the principal movements and show potential mistakes in a funny way at the end.
The name of the technique comes from the number "ten" in Japanes: Ju, and it relates to the position of uke's arms which look like the cross representing the number in Japanese writing: 十.
Jujinage ofthen begins with a similar entry like kotegaeshi and it is also the case with the attack katate-dori: we take the same first step, we just grab uke's wrist in a bit different way.
During the final pin uke usually taps the tatami with his hand as as sign that it's enough and it starts hurting, in case of this technique, sonce nage holds both wrists of uke, the tap is only possible with the foot.

Originally this technique called karame nage and belongs to ikajo technical group which means that it's the same as ikkyo.
