They work hard and the results are beautiful but we know theses are sweat shops that pay little and the employees live at the poverty level compared to Americans. My heart goes out to them for their dedication and percision.
Strange how people complain about other countries paying their workers low pay. I worked at Levi's here in the US years ago making poverty level minimum wages. There used to be knitting factories here that paid minimum wages as well. No outrage until it happens in India who, by the way, pay minimum wages according to their country. Do y'all have any idea how many of our jobs went to that country? F India.
I don’t think these people are necessarily living in poverty. There’s a certain amount of skill in these jobs. They don’t pay well I’m sure but they pay the bills. Both my husbands parents did this type of work for decades and it helped them raise a family of four children comfortably on a budget. However they did say it was a hard job and they worked in hot conditions doing piece work.
I was running manufacturing business , u dnt knw how much they earn. They earn decent money. What u dnt know is u think owner earn lot more money. But reality is different I have lost 50 lac bcoz from where payment supposed to come that party got bankrupt. So i have to stop that business with 50 lac loss. We have to sell our house to replay the money. Guys we actually judge so fast. Har chiz ke 2 pehlu hote he. Business run karna b easy nahi he. Agar income jyada he to risk us se b jyada he. Aur kitne salo ki mehnat k bad insan business dalta he aur fir b kai bar fail ho jata he. To kisi owner ki jyada kamai dekh k esa mat soch wo jyada kama raha he aur workers ko kam de raha he.

Ironing and folding the shirts looks to be the most redundant part. My hats off to those that work in these shops. It’s kind of funny when I think back on some of the places I’ve worked, and how many of those places I used sewing machines. From clothing factories, upholstery shops, awning shops, costume shops, and building Steadicam vests. It’s a good skill to know.
Bangladesh was $0.25 per hour when manufacturers moved production to it. It may reach $0.50 this year. China is $1.10 to $2.40. There are European countries that are close to the high end of that.
Rich people who buy expensive clothes which are made slowly and carefully, they are the ones who are able to appreciate the creativity and the labor of making clothes.
One think I've always been curious about when it comes to clothing manufacturing - are the workers who sew the clothes, also responsible for setting up the machines and threading them, and troubleshooting any problems with them, or does someone else do that and they only sew and do nothing else? Like, I know they probably have mechanics will take care of it if a sewing machine has a big problem, but for minor stuff like, if they run out of thread or something, will the worker just replace it themself, or do they have to call over someone else to do it?
@@altarnoglu3830 I would think it would be more efficient to have a sewing machine mechanic take care of all the technical stuff with the machines so the workers can just focus on sewing. Do they not do that?
@@Melissa0774 if machine had mechanical error they probably call an expert. But minor things for example needle break or change the foot is belong workers responsibility. I don't know much about how these going on India but in Turkiye every section has an machine expert. If anything goes terribly wrong we ask help.
My Grandmother worked here in the states sewing clothing in factories all of her life - beginning in 1940. She took care of day to day maintenance herself. What surprised me here was a man cutting shirts out with scissors. I toured a clothing factory here in the states when I was 8 - in 1966. The cloth was stacked about 12" high and cut out with a thing that looked like a jigsaw/electric knife. Hundreds of garments at one time.
Fifty years ago when I arrived to Los Angeles California this is what I did not difference from now and then remember they pay .03 cents for collar 1.00 for a complete dress it was a sweat shops too. miserable pay
I have seen your video from Bangladesh when I go to India where can I find your factory I do these things in Bangladesh what I want to do in India I want your help to communicate with you
I am really proud and amazing.. for your work & material ..but in dubai available very very worst quality material {shirt's } but the stitching is perfect.. Price also very very cheap. But we can't wear .even one time .i don't know why some companies making like this worst product????
When the labor of an item is USD $0.50, it will always come with very cheap material. These countries are used for the work slaves would do in the past, but it is legal, and costs much less than slavery because you do not have to kidnap them, guard them, risk revolution, pay the high cost of keeping them in USA apartments and feed them in USA food prices, and provide expensive health care when they get sick. Companies that make higher quality garments are using Peru now. The best quality is made in Southern Europe because the cost of labor is very high and saving on material costs does not make economical sense.
India has so much labor and raw material if only they can think right, and get going in seriousness, create most durable biogradable laterial and give commodities in highest quality and standards it can easily beat china any day..just the world wide supply of replacing plastic grabage trash bags as start is enough its mind boggling along with so much of other handicrafts handlooms natural fragrances the list is endless...work on strength which you already have... and with certain other new features built int like odor control with natural fiber fragrances and not a stich of plastic in it...

dedication. ahahahhaha. get a grip. they do this because they need money. as if they had a choice
@@jemandjemand2362 That is the point they need money and the pay is very low and they have no choice. The work is still beautiful

Interesting to watch. I’ve noticed more and more items are from India and Bangladesh lately, and less from China.
why?
