W.J Bassett-Lowke Presents

W.J Bassett-Lowke, former owner of 78 Derngate and patron of Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a great enthusiast for contemporary design and technology. His second home, New Ways, was the first modern house in Britain. Fittingly he used up to date cinematography techniques to showcase the house. This short (silent) clip extends its reach across more than 80 years into the social media era.
