Hi viewership, translates into more money from advertisers. It has very little to do with the contestants that wins, after all it costs the producers money to pay out the winnings. So, yes, the celebrities are hired to do what they do best and that's to entertain ... the audience/viewers!
I am SOOOOOOO glad saint Richard lost the supematch for her although I REALLY can't feel bad for the contestant. She (and most others) picked saint Richard even when HIS answer wasn't in ANY of those categories . saint Richard meant more than winning the game sad to say
