I've cast from my phone to the 55in TV and is so much more interesting because you're of course larger and I can see it better I love watching you work
This week's arrangement is stunning, John. All the materials shine and none, for me, more than that bit of yellow/green foiliage right up front. It seems to bring everything together. And, as always seems to be the case, I really love your choice of container - it's perfect, really, and unusual at the same time. Thanks for this! It appears you are reaping the rewards of this garden to all our benefit. Have a wonderful week, my Friend!
Thank you 😀 the garden is really romping along - we have a wisteria that has escaped up the neighbours trees and it’s magnificent 😀 must try some as a cut flower ! And the veg garden is good as well! Have a great week 🙋🏼♂️🌼
This is my favourite type of arrangement John. I love everything in it! The lilac and viburnum are gorgeous and must smell lovely. You are right about the tulips, they really steal the show! I think you can only get tulips that beautiful from the garden. Shop bought ones are hardly ever as lovely. Love the container too! Xx
Thank you 😀 Yes, the French garden tulips are really big - I love them 😍 it’s a nice mix and perfect at this time of year! I was lucky when I found that container - I did hesitate as it has the slight chip and crack but it doesn’t leak and has not got worse. I love it , and use it 😀🌼
So beautiful John! There's something about this garden arrangement style that you excel at but is also quintessential in terms of arranging period. I absolutely love lilacs. They don't last too long each spring so their time to reign is limited. They look fabulous as part of this arrangement. I'm in southern Ontario in Canada and our lilacs are not yet out. Something to look forward to! And then I think I'll try this one. Thanks so much for my Tuesday treat.
Thank you - you are very welcome! 😀 Lilac as a cut flower is expensive, but if you have access to some in the garden then it’s really worth bringing some inside to enjoy - and just being arranged into water is best! Hope your lilac blooms soon 😀🙋🏼♂️🌼
I wish Greek people embraced this style!!!! It's so Beautiful! Lighter and more natural. Usually here it is all about round arrangements without a lot of foliage and a LOT of flowers struck on each other. I'm promoting this vibe though 😊! I also use dried foliage like lavender and wheat 🌾
Thank you! 🌼 it is a natural style - so more sympathetic I think. The compact styles are easy to make and last well, so are popular commercially. Thank you for promoting it 🌼😀🙋🏼♂️
I'm just curious the stick like things sticking in there you weren't sure about the name but they almost look like left to spoil them to me it would that be a possibility
Afterwards I found the name - of course, and it’s tamarisk, which had a few different styles of shape. This one is more long and feathery but others can be quite bottle brushy. It gives a bit of contrast to the other materials I hope. 🌼🙋🏼♂️
You can add water with flower food - and all they really need to do is top up the level with fresh water! but if the wire is secured, the design is secured, so it can be tipped to refresh the water as well 🌼
Beautiful 🤩, I have many Dandina Domestica in my garden, I always cut them off when they grow with too many stems. Do you have any idea to use it for a flower arrangement? Thank you 🙏
They are okay at lasting - as long as they are getting water. But I agree - liliac can be a bit of a problem - the flowers can collapse or wither overnight

Oh wow - that’s a great idea actually! I better shave next time though 😂😀🙋🏼♂️

beautiful John as always, may would love to make for a customer but how would they change the water , i always worry about that .
You can add water with flower food - and all they really need to do is top up the level with fresh water! but if the wire is secured, the design is secured, so it can be tipped to refresh the water as well 🌼
I love the idea of putting the wires as support instead of tape as grids but won’t they rust since it is submerged in water?
Beautiful 🤩, I have many Dandina Domestica in my garden, I always cut them off when they grow with too many stems. Do you have any idea to use it for a flower arrangement? Thank you 🙏
Thank you! I shall get my thinking cap on 😀🌼

I’ve always thought that the leaves on the lilacs would not last.
They are okay at lasting - as long as they are getting water. But I agree - liliac can be a bit of a problem - the flowers can collapse or wither overnight
This guy is interesting he is on RUclips
👍👍👍😘😘😘⭐⭐⭐♥️♥️♥️
Thank you 😊 🌼🙋🏼♂️
As a florist that has to deliver I would not trust this to hold up.
That is true - this design is more for creating at home or in situ 🌼🙋🏼♂️
