She just described PTSD from growing up in the hood. Majority of us have it
I’m 28 now and moved out the hood when I was 20 and not too long ago I was walking with some friends and they asked me why I kept swivelling my neck like something was out to get us. I was in Dubai where you don’t got to worry about nothing but was hard to explain because everyone out there only views America with a Hollywood lens.
Majority? Nah.
Especially down south
@@Daniel-zv4toyes majority of children and adults have ptsd that live in poverty and violent-stricken areas.
I am a social worker and deal with these children daily. Seeing death, violence, corporal punishment and etc can cause ptsd
Word
I think ppl from the south in general don't like to be too close to ppl.
U are correct we going to ask u back up some u in our personal space 😂 arm length distance
Cap. They friendly as hell and will get in your personal space for a hug, to offer help, talk etc. LETS JUST SAY IT ppl from the hood EVERYWHERE want space
Yeah because there’s so much space and not as many people as big cities.
Facts
@Ava44322 in the south, ppl tend to be more friendly...true. we're friendly with space though. The hugs and all for those who we know
She's right. Don't walk up on me or close to me. You can't stand close to me or behind me.
Basically she was saying they were born under and live under covid restrictions! Give me 6-ft please.!😅
@@kevinshephard8279no it's respecting personal space. Respect is paramount. Aint no games being played in the hood, you could die over something tht simple
@@SurprisedBabyOctopus-fd9qc she said herself that she was on the defense and paranoid.. it's not just about respect it's the fact that it's a lot of killing and negative energy out here.. it shouldn't be like that for kids growing up around their own people..! I'm from Memphis and when cars slow down I gots to look and be ready for anything...So it's Tru
It’s like that wherever you go
@@Che-vn6vuespecially in the south tho, it's because it's so poor ...the more poverty, the worse the violence. It's a sad reality for too many people.
This is any hood
I’m from LA. . . When cars slow down, I start dunking and running.
Westwood 38109 southparkway 38106 i have ptsd from my ciry😢
I’m from Florida, walking close means you trying to fight . That’s a sign of disrespect
Good tip.
Same, especially old white people and random Hispanics in Florida they don’t know the meaning of personal space.
I feel this exact same way
I'm from New Jersey, you're gonna be fighting everyday, cause everyone is always in a rush and it's crowded..
Sad way to live
She is NOT lying. Not even the folks you know will let you walk close, it aint strategic. Lol...
I fell bad for the people who had to be raised under those conditions
Ditto makes me appreciate my small town Walmart and public transportation low key vibe
Dnt feel bad..It suck but that how ALIT of us came up...Especially in the projects
This aint that true.
Thanks

Grew up in south central L.A., PTSD frfr. And really don't like people walking behind me. Keep ya head on a swivel.
She’s just speaking on what HER experiences are in her city to how it is in LA in her estimation. I’m sure she was asked a question and that was her answer.
She not in the hood in LA she got money now she more in Hollywood or sum… hoods is hood universally especially in LA
Exactly
Riiiiight I’m in CPT & ion even like ppl walking close to me or bumping me!
Yep, I disagree with my sister in law, Black's didn't even speak to me in LA area, while I was delivering a load. The Mexicans were Hella cool & helpful tho.
True. You have to know someone who knows where they're going in parts of L.A. 😂
No...she pure hood
U can't take the hood out..

This is every urban area in america and quite a few small towns as well
She not lying 😆😆😆 I'm from Memphis and it's this one song that used to pop shit off in the club called "don't stand so close to me" by gangsta boo
😂 FACTS
When rappers talk about LA, they means Hollywood, the valley, downtown. All the nice parts. Ain’t nobody walking in the ghetto because you will likely not make it back home constantly walking through gang territory everyday lmao
EXACTLY, THEY BE TALKIN’ BOUT HOLLYWOOD “WHERE DREAMS ARE MADE OF!!” IN THA HOOD (SOUTH CENTRAL) YOU KAN’T WALK, TALK OR LOOK AT A NIGGA CLOSELY OR YOU GONNA’ GET THA BUSINESS!! 💯💯🤷🏽♀️
Downtown LA isn't nice
It's the same way in Chicago. If someone in Chicago is walking to close to you, be aware.
Yea sadly we do I'm from H town and we super paranoid too shoot first talk last
Already in the H its definitely like that no arguing no talkin no road rage u will get left right on the beltway
Not the case lol 😂

LA is most definitely active af. The west coast in general just moves different
L.A. definitely get wicked but I was walking down Crenshaw on my to Slauson to see the TMC store. Not paying attention to where I am, I'm walking I a red lacoste hat and shirt, 3 tone red air max, and some camo/cheetah print pants(they were a lot cleaner than I could describe) and nothing happened to me. I ended talking to a crip that was in the lot and mentioned my colors. Of course she doesn’t. Her saying that is just a realization that death is somewhat tangible. You think DC Young Fly didn’t have that same realization when his Baby Momma died? Like imagine talking to someone and then you get phone call that they’re dead the next day.
I dont like when ppl look at me to long too or smile and look at me feels like u setting me up .. tf u looking at????? Do U know me??????
We had our Christmas party on Beale for my job and one of my colleagues looked bored because there was a live band and she's 23. My daughter is 28, so I called and asked if there was a place for the younger crowd near us. She said, "Yeah, if she ready to run." Shots are frequently fired.
Real shit you toooooo close my boi!!!!
Shit she paranoid in Memphis , come to the real parts of LA
That’s the real parts of La what u mean
Yeah she talkin crazy she in the suburbs talking about we walking close lol tfoh
@LosAngelesMade Is she supposed to come to the hoods of LA with all the Mexicans so she can prove how “real” she is? Do the LA people not talk all this “check in” stuff when most artists likely just go to Hollywood and Beverly Hills? It can go down anywhere in LA. The crazies are in Beverly Hills just like they’re in Watts let y’all tell it.
@@fuhyou3223 na she lien regardless bc we don’t walk close around the city in general this is not New York. The Mexicans in the outskirts like bell garden and Hawaiian garden and East LA I’m talking about the real hoods. Looking like a alien as usual
In Memphis, you could be in a nice restaurant and you'll still look at who comes in and out of the building, bathrooms etc. Every bite, looking up and around.
Ong I'm from Memphis and I'm still here people die by walking too close or getting to close😭
From STL, I felt this especially with mean mug 😂
I’m from Memphis she’s stating facts 💯
I’m from LA all my life grew up in the section 8 apartments and lowkey I feel you too sometimes atleast in the hood you have your manners and etiquette where you respect civilians and older people and keep personal space but it’s when you go out to clubs and bars and Hollywood and shit like that where it’s hella packed with tourists and shit where people bumping into each other is bound to happen and 95% of the times is an accident so if you trip and make a big deal about it your gonna look like a nutcase
It’s these dangerous cities man. Im from memphis, and i dont live in the hood and i stay alert. Look at me too long? Something’s wrong. Too close? Something’s wrong. Pull up next to me at red light? Making sure im not aligned with your window 😂
I’ve tried to be better in those situations but one year of therapy hasn’t gotten me quite there yet when dealing with a lifetime of trauma. How many I’ve lost by people walking em down in broad daylight. Rip Tweak, Snooter, Vada, Loaded, pappy. Grateful I rose above grinded my ass off to get up out that situation and my daughter will never know or understand that life.

Yup, Baltimore too, I was just arguing with a young man in the market, first off he was too close to me while paying for my items, then he walked past me then came back and his gut brushed up against me , And I turned around and it was on. So I had to diffuse the situation, he was young and simple.
We like that in chicago as well. You have to give us 6 feet even before covic
