- Come check out what our large family of 9 eats during a typical week! We enjoy eating fruits and vegetables that we grow in our gardens and meats that we hunt or raise on our homestead. We also love meals using whole foods that are made from scratch, but we have plenty of fun treats too. There's a LOT of food in this video! *(Scroll down to see all the videos that were referenced in this video!)* #largefamilymeals #mealsoftheweek #threeriverschallenge

Daisy has had a calf a year for the past two years. Don’t be sad, I’m sure her having a rest is a good thing for her.
I have been watching you all since the beginning and I have enjoyed every minute.
Have a wonderful, safe and blessed day!

I would think it would be safer for Daisy,to let her rest, instead of just constantly keeping her pregnant. She just had a baby, poor thing
That's the life of a cow, and part of farm life. We raise cattle, and that's how their life cycle is; it's nature.

Janice you look and sound great!!! More relaxed and more time with your wonderful family❤The new video
routine is great for you!!! And your well being😊
Janice, you (and your family) are such good stewards of resources! Well done.
Unbelievable! Amazing food! Beautiful family! Thank you for your beautiful video! I am a 65 Cambodian woman living in Montreal for 50 years now and we have a lot of snow! Merci 🙏 always watching you from Montreal
Lots of sickness in central Arkansas….flu, RSV, Covid, stomach virus, strep…..so far we have not been sick. Glad you are feeling better. Take care! Happy cooking❣️ Love the vlog❣️
You are so right about the Better Home and Gardens cookbook. My mom gave me mine when I married and I have hers from when she was young. Love love love it and would highly recommend it to anyone
Pizza & “The Chosen” sounds like a perfect night to me! I love you and your family.❤
I just love this type of videos! Thanks for taking the time to film this.❤Have a blessed week.😊
You are really good at using all food and resources. That's so smart and saves SO much money! And your kids are food eaters. Those buttermilk biscuits looked DELICIOUS! GOOD VIDEO.
The Book plant I work at made that cookbook. So glad to see someone enjoying it.
Janice and the family are to be admired. They are going to thrive in the very tough times ahead. Dairy cows usually have a calf every year. They treat her like a valuable member of the family when she see’s them she is like a toddler that wants attention. I am impressed by Janice’ concern for the ingredients she chosen . I am almost 80 and our generation grew up on spam , fried baloney, potatoes and canned veggies. So far I am in good health.
Love watching you and your family you are so sunny and upbeat you make me smile and your kids are just beautiful and smart and so positive. Thanks for your great cooking ideas and showing us how you make your food. I am so jealous but in a good way..Have a great week all of you from not a homstead but a big city lol.

Good to see you. I have done my food shopping for the month. Tonight I have to preserve it. My pantry is also full.
Janice I enjoy all you videos, but these are my favorite 😊
Hi Janice, God bless your entire family. ❤
What a pretty pretty display of veggies and fruit that was so good. I wanted to reach challenge grab one. What a neat video I love what you eat in a week videos from your family. They’re not fussy. They eat what he put in front of them without complaining.
Thank you family for sharing your great meals!
One of my favorite breakfast and supper meals is French toast. Apple jelly sounds yummy. Have you tried French toast casserole? Yummy and easy for a big family
Great video! Thank you for sharing

I say YAY too, Susan! I'm so glad you enjoy these videos! :)
Loved the video! ❤❤❤
Rebeca is very good at coloring for her age and keeping in the lines . Most four year olds would not be able to do that. She’s a very talented little artist.
Enjoying the "what you eat" video- We too, are using up the things that are expiring, garden produce from the freezer and stuff that has been hanging around for a while. I am learning what I won't be buying in the future and trying to buy less processed foods. We are finding new recipes to try also. I am doing the challenge through at least March.
That's one thing I hate about winter , so many fall ill with something one right after the other !! Reason is ,we are always cooped up in a house ,or in a car with windows shut lol , not getting out much for fresh air . too cold !lol
Loved and enjoyed your vid !! Yay 👍👍👍👍🎉🎉⭐
You were talking about the menue and cupcakes coming in the door in the hands of an adult lady was not confusing at all. 15 Grand children, my goodness, what a blessing to your family and beautiful food too.😊
Hi everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed this video! You always come up with great ideas for your meals and your children helping is just wonderful. Look forward to the next one.

I love the food for the week videos. Your kids may enjoy theme night meals to go along with what you are studying in school.
Enjoyed the food video, but the best part was your sweet girl wrapped in a special quilt.

Lots of creative cooking. Carole
Hi Janice, I just don't think you know how amazing you & your family are. I wish that if we were given "second chances" on life, I certainly would live mine as close to how you & your family live. Beautiful Godly people and your children are absolutely one of a kind, rare. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family. You bring comfort to many of us. God Bless you. p.s. is there a step by step video on how to begin your sourdough starter from start to finish? Thank you
Amen!❤
I loved this video! 😊
I'm in upstate new York and everyone I know around here had that same yuck thing... my sister, grandson, friends. My daughter in ohio had it too. I too am at the tail end. I love watching you and your family. I don't know about Fava beans but I've heard of flour made from them.
That’s awesome on the butter making 🤠
Love your family and videos x ❤
You are so kind, Jean! Thanks for the sweet comment! :)
Oh dear those Fava beans looked old and so much work. We enjoy fresh 'broad beans' grown in the garden. Same bean but young and green. I hope that you will be open to the idea of growing some 😊
My goodness! If you don't work, you don't eat really applies to all those meals.
I was longing for some applebutter on a few leftovers 🥞 .
I just ate leftover spaghetti with a spoonful of creamy blue cheese dressing on top.
Does Rebekah know the song about a fly in the buttermilk?
🙏
It is great you have family to see and enjoy being with. 🧁 😃
Those homemade hotdog buns turned out so nice!
Hi Janice and family. Love the videos! Full of menu ideas. Warm hug to all
Thank you, Bev, for taking the time to watch and comment! I’m sending a warm hug back to you too! :)
Janice, as I've said before that I'm 71 years old and live alone.
I live on my Social Security retirement account which isn't a lot.
I just love buying and using those Knorr packages with canned meats.
I can get 2 meals out of one package.
Since I am alone, it's almost easier to make my meals that way.
I really don't usually do it unless I'm feeling lazy or forgot to take something out of the freezer to cook.
I actually like cooking.
I must admit that it is hard cooking just for one person.
Thankfully, I like leftovers.
Foo is great hot dog buns look delicious love your videos
Congratulations on 32,000 Subscribers.🇨🇦❤️
Loved the long video!
This is awesome
I haven't sent you any thing in a while. Sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time with being sick . I know that can be horrible. Love to you all❤ and Some one had a birthday cause the 3 yr.old is now 4 so everyone is growing up . Cindy from Arizona.😊❤
i am allergic to eggs.. so i looked all over for a recipe to make fudgecicles.. i was shocked to learn most are just hot chocolate mix with water put in molds in the freezer. i bet yours is wonderful. my grandma did a lot with eggs and they always were so creamy and thick. thank you for sharing. i love watching your videos.
Sorry your all sick, hope you get to feeling better
I noticed the good looking young man that came in when you were filming. You could call them "cupcakes" because they looked sweet!!
I used to make butter but we had a churn ( I might be spelling it wrong) The beige churn with the stick.
Hi precious ozark family homestead
Your hotdog buns look delicious!🎉❤
Oh do you have plans to breed spruce too? Sorry about Daisy 🌼 not accepting the breed. Sounds like Daisy and I are having the same issue hahaha
Love these videos
Freeze dry the butter milk. I do it all the time. Also it is a lot quicker to use your kitchen aid for butter. I pour off buttermilk and wash the butter in the mixing bowl under a small run of cold water and my hands. A lot less dishes and work. I do butter every day when milking. I store in the freezer too. I hope that helps.
Loved this video!! Great job Janice. Val C
You had me at biscuits and gravy 😊
I enjoy all of your vlogs
Thank you, Mary! :)
Janice, have you thought about blending some sweetened fruit into some yogurt and freezing that into popsicles? We do it, and its amazing!!!!
Just finished the video, it's 8.30pm in Germany and I am hungry now! 😩🥺🤤😅
I was going to tease you about 'the cupcakes' lol ( it's lovely to see you all) xx
Keeping in mind - pure lemon juice, honey & ginger breaks up that cough. Make hot tea, add your lemon, honey & crystalize ginger.
Covid is running through my family again in Alabama.
Is SARAH ok? I noticed she is not cooking for us and she is quiet. I pray she is doing well. ❤️🙏
This is the first that Ive ever seen you make French Toast. ❤
Rebecca has amazing coloring skills for a child her age!❤
Sarah’s biscuits are award winning!
Pretzels! Whoo hoo!
I loved buckwheat pancakes growing up. Have you ever made those?
