The su1cidal lyrics “as if i am being made to end the curse of being born…ill stop breathing now” together with the last words of the event story being “ah i want to disappear” and the hanging implication in her trained card are making me so worried, i mean mizuki was never in a good place mentally she was just hiding it well but this event took away her will to live completely. Obviously the writers can’t go that far bc of the age rating of the game but this is still extremely dark
it is worth noting that that line is self-loathing, but not necessarily su1cidal (idk if the word it filtered); 'umareru batsu o owarasu you ni' can most literally be translated as 'as if [unspecified subject] is made to end the punishment of birth', and 'kokyuu wo tomete' as '[unspecified subject] is pausing/stopping [their] breath'. tomete is in te form, which is in this case a progressive (assumedly present since it can't be future) tense, so it doesn't refer to something they will do later, it is referring to a current ongoing action. also, as implied, the verb tomeru can mean to stop, but it can also mean to pause/halt and is commonly used as such. So a way of translating the line could be "as if it would end the punishment for being born, I hold my breath." mizuki being in the dark (still being secretive) and wearing a blindfold (trying to forget about their painful times by not facing ena and locking themselves in their room later in the story). the blindfold also reminds me of ave mujica from bandori, who took upon their masks to forcefully forget everything and just "disappear" in a metaphorical sense to their world of ave mujica, both of their escaping mechanisms correlate each other in some ways AAAAA MIZUKII

This whole event starting from the teaser into the last chapter was intense. The teaser makes you anxious about what will happen, and the worst actually happened after reading the story. Now Mizuki is deep into giving up and this song even proves it. Man pjsk cooked with this event but poor mizuki she deserves better

Crazy theory: As you all know, this song is a Mizuki Pov, indicating several TIMES, but I will say a few things . 1- The cards of this event, except for Mizuki, are white because they getting better but mizuki's is dark because they are getting worse, Besides having their backs to the light, not wanting to see the truth or see that their friends are overcoming and they are falling behind. 2- While MEIKO supports Mizuki and tells them that everything is in its own time, KAITO approaches it as the "truth" and makes a point of telling/pushing Mizuki towards the truth, so that they don't get worse. 3- The reason Mizuki left the real world was for (not the nigtcord members) but them friends no find them, like Rui and An Who possibly know Mizuki's secret, Mizuki is afraid to see their long-time friends and their sister because for them It's like "I couldn't do it, I'm sorry." And had thrown their love and support in the trash. 4- Mizuki in the new card had both eyes covered, as if them was afraid of seeing the disgusted eyes of their friends, Afraid to see the truth they think is. 5- Mizuki's voice sounds much more tired and deep, As if they were no longer forcing the cute, feminine voice but rather their true feelings. (And also their real voice? ) 6- The cover of the song (ghost flower/flower of transformation) It's kind of cute but your music is like a horror movie, like Mizuki, Who has a cute and fragile face but their feelings seem like a horror movie.
Confirming here, yes, An and Rui know Mizuki's secret, and maybe Akito?? (Not sure tho) And not only their eyes are covered, but the ears too. I think it's like "What the eyes cannot see, the ears cannot hear, the heart cannot feel" smth like that I'm not totally sure And about KAITO... He didn't knew the secret. He wanted to make Mizuki scream their true feelings, just like he did with Mafuyu, since he was 'born' from the feelings of anger, the wish to be free, something that MEIKO prefered to avoid making Mizuki make, since she appeared both in IDSMILE (talking about identity and the fear of being left behind) and Lower (Talking about how Mizuki's feelings towards telling their secret to Ena and Niigo in general are similiar to the betrayal of Judas to Jesus) Btw, I agree with everything, just wanted to compliment! :3
Mizuki is only singing with Kaito sooo i have a couple of theories: -Mizuki are having a dialogue with Kaito, at the part when they both say "just disappear" (01:11) its like Kaito is asking if Mizuki wants everyone to just disappear, but after that Mizuki says "stay with me" (01:19) meaning that they dont want anyone to disappear. -In the trained 4* of Mizuki their ears and eyes are covered, closing themselves off of the others and the possibility that the niji25 might accept them, so thats why they dont sing along with the others and they mostly sing alone or with Kaito. -They take the full blame that Niji25 is slowly crumbling apart (Ena too) Since everyone is getting better and Mizuki is getting worse. Also every card of the others is white themed while Mizuki's card is dark themed. -In the cards beggining from Ena, she is grabbing into a red fabric that is supposed to represent Mizuki, after that, in Mafuyu's card, the fabric continues, bht the red color slightly fades as it keeps going, being tied to an umbrella but Mafuyu is sitting away from it and looking dowm at it almost emotionless. Kaito, which the fabric now is completely white and torn and in the end it fades away in the darkness, which leads up to Mizuki who is sitting on the room of the id smile 4* card, but niw all the colors and cute stuff are gone. Mizuki is distancing themselves from everyone else amd closing off.

"what are those eyes? ah, of course its those eyes" mafuyu cause she has been thru the same thing of wanting to be different but stuck behind fear and others judgements she sees it "this isn't my first time, yknow?" ena waiting for mizuki and still being there for mizuki "whats with those eyes? cmon stop it! its just so cute, but the flavour of sin, its off, so off, its crumbling" mizuki wants to change and be feminine (cute) but her transitioning is "off" and "weird" and she considers it a "sin" "im collapsing with my one secret, im breaking down, im sorry" mizuki's secret of being "different" and never truly fitting in collapses her and pushes everyone away. mizuki knows n25 means well but she still cant help but break down, she doesnt want to accept their kindness bcs shes afraid of being viewed differently and scared of change, although rationally she knows it wont happen (hence the im sorry for pushing them away) "without seeing it, you can't understand it, right? it's just like a flower of transition that had bloomed" no one sees her pain since she hides it behind her cutesy demeanor "flower of transition had bloomed" ahem transitioned mizuki finally opens up and it backfires "i can't say anything else, but i can't erase it, no matter how ugly my makeup seems like" mizuki can try to hide it with ugly lies (ugly makeup) as much as she wants but she will never seem to be able to be "normal" and she can't erase the fact that shes different "i cant go back to being a bud again" mizuki wanted to open up and change and doesnt want to go back to suppressing her feelings and her femininity again, but shes having conflicting feelings bcs she doesnt want to get hurt by opening up again as well "if thats so, then disappear! everyone, just disappear!" and then DIRECTLY FOLLOWED by "stay with me" shows her conflicting feelings as well. she doesnt want to be judged by people and she wants all of them to disappear, but also she wants to be "found" by people and accepted as well. "if you cant seem to understand the future, then this flower of transformation will disappear soon enough here" if people dont understand her line of thinking and accept her, then she'll want to disappear. flower of transformation is a symbolism to mizuki herself in this song. "as if i'm made to end the curse of being born" being born as a male is a curse to mizuki, and "im made to end" suggests that the desire to be feminine is made for her to end the curse of being born a male (suggests her su1cidal thoughts) "ill stop breathing now" because the only way she can end this curse is to die and reborn as a female as a part of her will always feel unaccepted and weird bcs of her origins her conflicting thoughts and emotions are so integral in the story because she really wants to move forward but her past holds her back so much not even a mizuki fan but this story was really well done and deserves the hype, made me cry

One double meaning about the lyrics i personally see is that the transformed flower analogy is not just about the secret being spilled - "i cant go back to a bud again" aka going back to being closeted, but also that detransitioning is out of the question. She'd rather die a woman than be forced to act like shes a man again
This song hits very close to home, mainly due to my interpretation kf the story being Mizuki being confirmed as trans. Just the terror of people pushing you away because of who you are and feeling like you shouldnt exist, yet you beg for everyone to stay with you so thay you dont fall apart Its beautiful and depressingly real
the flower and bud symbolism in this song is heavily related to puberty (especially in japan) yet is also commonly used in trans media (think the vocaloid song "villain" which has a line specifically like 'one day, even the fakest flowers will bear fruit') i fear a lot of the symbolism here is in regards to her gender identity and how she cant go back to being seen as a "normal girl" like her classmates stated to ena (line: 0:51 ) ITS SO SAD MY POOR GIRL

it’s been 2 months and this is still bothering me but at 0:52 the “tsubomi ni wa mou” is sung my both KAITO and Mizuki with “modorenai” being just Mizuki. This happens again at 1:37 with both of them singing “umareta batsu o owarasu you ni kokyuu o tomete a” and Mizuki alone at “mou ii ya”. I mean this lightheartedly because the video is better made than I probably could’ve done, but with how much I still listen to this song I can’t help it 😭

Crazy theory: As you all know, this song is a Mizuki Pov, indicating several TIMES, but I will say a few things .
1- The cards of this event, except for Mizuki, are white because they getting better but mizuki's is dark because they are getting worse, Besides having their backs to the light, not wanting to see the truth or see that their friends are overcoming and they are falling behind.
2- While MEIKO supports Mizuki and tells them that everything is in its own time, KAITO approaches it as the "truth" and makes a point of telling/pushing Mizuki towards the truth, so that they don't get worse.
3- The reason Mizuki left the real world was for (not the nigtcord members) but them friends no find them, like Rui and An Who possibly know Mizuki's secret, Mizuki is afraid to see their long-time friends and their sister because for them It's like "I couldn't do it, I'm sorry." And had thrown their love and support in the trash.
4- Mizuki in the new card had both eyes covered, as if them was afraid of seeing the disgusted eyes of their friends, Afraid to see the truth they think is.
5- Mizuki's voice sounds much more tired and deep, As if they were no longer forcing the cute, feminine voice but rather their true feelings. (And also their real voice? )
6- The cover of the song (ghost flower/flower of transformation) It's kind of cute but your music is like a horror movie, like Mizuki, Who has a cute and fragile face but their feelings seem like a horror movie.

Mizuki is only singing with Kaito sooo i have a couple of theories:
-Mizuki are having a dialogue with Kaito, at the part when they both say "just disappear" (01:11) its like Kaito is asking if Mizuki wants everyone to just disappear, but after that Mizuki says "stay with me" (01:19) meaning that they dont want anyone to disappear.
-In the trained 4* of Mizuki their ears and eyes are covered, closing themselves off of the others and the possibility that the niji25 might accept them, so thats why they dont sing along with the others and they mostly sing alone or with Kaito.
-They take the full blame that Niji25 is slowly crumbling apart (Ena too) Since everyone is getting better and Mizuki is getting worse. Also every card of the others is white themed while Mizuki's card is dark themed.
-In the cards beggining from Ena, she is grabbing into a red fabric that is supposed to represent Mizuki, after that, in Mafuyu's card, the fabric continues, bht the red color slightly fades as it keeps going, being tied to an umbrella but Mafuyu is sitting away from it and looking dowm at it almost emotionless. Kaito, which the fabric now is completely white and torn and in the end it fades away in the darkness, which leads up to Mizuki who is sitting on the room of the id smile 4* card, but niw all the colors and cute stuff are gone. Mizuki is distancing themselves from everyone else amd closing off.
It actually makes me tweak out that when mizuki says she’s had enough at the end and her voice goes deep is her like stopping forcing her girly voice cuz she’s tired of trying n js wants it all to end and im SICK THINKING AB IT NOOO MY GIRL MIZUKI ILY SM PLS DONT GO DOWN THE SEWERSLIDE
