I've recently gotten back into drawing, and I love this channel. I'm trying to focus on figure drawing and anatomy. I don't want to overwhelm you with pedantic questions, but I can't help myself. Do you have any advice on A (which pencils I should use for figure drawing.) I'm in the U.S.A. B (Which figure drawing/anatomy books you would recommend to a beginner.) C (Just advice for drawing/figure drawing in general.) Sorry for all the questions and if you've answered them before, somewhere else I apologize in advance. I Love your work.😃😃😃
When you're starting, you don't really do much rendering as you're trying first how to create good gesture drawings and good lineart. The best and cheapest materials for starting to draw is with any type of pencil close to HB and paper that is cheap and reliable. Sketchpads are expensive and will only make you less comfortable to sketch because now you have something expensive in front of you and wouldn't want it filled with "bad" drawings. You will probably need a stack of a 500 pages if you're planning to draw better so you better want it cheap.
I wouldn't really recommend using erasers if you're practicing. Erasers should only be used when you're actually trying to create a finished work instead of sketching wherein you're practicing and every mistake you make is necessary for learning. It will also make you more confident and careful with your lines in sketching.
As for books, they're actually very difficult to understand if you haven't seen actual demonstration of the principles the book is trying to tell you. A book by Huston cannot be understood well enough without watching Huston's lectures. I would recommend the Morpho series by Michel Lauricella. You can read them but the best way to learn it is by copying the drawings inside them. And I mean every drawing.
