- [From "Kovacs Corner" on RUclips.com] - Tired of staying awake due to Lou's toothache, Bud drags Lou to the dentist for an extraction. Here the dentist, played by Murray Leonard, works on the hapless Costello. Also look for comedian Fritz Feld.
"How about some gas?" Sure check my oil too
Psychiatrist: Lou Costello isn't real, he can't hurt you
Phone rings
"Hey! My tooth don't hurt no more! Look!"
Dr. Richards is a master dentist...he leaves all his patients with PTSD
His style is most unique and suited him perfectly. It would be near impossible to find a comedian of such a natural talent. Even the three stooges had a pretentious aspect to them except perhaps Curly Howard whose innate unique character was another rare one amongst the great few!
"You didn't do nuthin' yet"
“Does it hurt here?.... here? .... must be here.” Wack. 😂😂
I wonder if anybody else remembers an abbot and Costello skit where Lou is trying to go to sleep but can't do it and he rents asleep record and ends up putting his feet up on the wall as he struggles to sleep. it's hysterical
Going to the dentist in 1948 had to be a harrowing experience…LOL.
SMACK
Who gave this man a Dental License?
I'm honestly surprised no dentist made a complaint about their profession always being portrayed as so intimidating.
True comedy. :)
