The Rocketeer is one of my favorites, too. I remember standing in a long line for a pact theater first day showing. Wow. But I have been a fan of the rocketeer since the Dave Steven's comics of 1982. The Rocketeer movie wrapped up not only 1930s racing planes. But Howard Hughes and what could be. Model on.
Ditto the recommendation to get your hands on some of the Dave Steven's Rocketeer comics if you have not already seen them Max. Incredible artwork from a creator that left us too soon. Should make for an interesting Livestream.
@dariosmodelbuilds oh I had all of his comics . I had the original Rocketeer tee shirt with Betty draped over his shoulder. And the original Rocketeer pin they sold for raising money for the comics production.
Oh I definitely understand about real world getting in the way of model building. My last 2 trips to Yankee Station the chemo was kicking my butt. Dose lowered and I’m feeling great, like nothing is going on!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back, Max. I still had snow covering my front yard here in Tallahassee this morning, when I received some Amazon packages delayed three days by the weather! And a big package via UPS is still delayed. I'm tired of subfreezing weather in Florida! I want the Global Warming back! 😮
We here are shipping our cold weather to Florida. If Floridians want us to stop they must take 10 new model kits, wrap them in paper, put them in a burlap sack. Then put them in a cardboard box marked "Cold Weather Prevention Package", tape it up, and drop it off on the Canadian side of the border. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
GLAD YOU BACK SAFE MAX,BE GLAD YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO FLY TO NEW ORLEANS THIS WEEK.WE HAD 10 INCHES OF SNOW HERE.ENJOY YOUR OFF-TIME WITH FAMILY.GOD BLESS EVERYONE
Rocketeer - great movie. I'm surprised you hadn't mentioned wether you had snow or not - or maybe the white stuff had melted before you returned. Glad you are back. See you tomorrow. ....and that saying about life - that seems to be my lot in life slogan, LOL! I first said that comment to someone over 40 years ago after making three attempts to drive 450 miles (a 7 hour trip) to be the photographer for a friend's wedding. I eventually did get there but not till an hour before the wedding. I had started the morning of the day before.
Max, I dont know if you remember, but i submitted a Rocketeer build for one of your Viewer's Builds. I changed the figures pose and added active flames for the jet pack. The finished build is on my RUclips channel.

Yep life is definitely getting in the way of my mustang build I understand
Timothy Dalton was so cool as an Errol Flynn-type German sympathizer agent.
Thank you.
King of the Rocket Men, Radar Men from the Moon, Zombies of the Stratosphere. All lead to The Rocketeer.
So does Jennifer Connelly and a pack of Beemans!
