- In this video we are going to be slicing open a bunch of little pieces of agatized coral to find out if they are worth cutting open or not! This agatized coral is from Florida and if you are interested in getting some, check out @DigDiveDiscover store linked in below in "all links". I am using my 10" lapidary saw from Hi Tech Diamond to cut all these pieces and make sure to watch until the end to see how all of these are hiding amazing details when put under UV light.

Thanks for watching and I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
where can i get some of that raw??
Cutting videos are definitely my favourite. Maybe you could set some agate or something as a pendant or jewellery some day… 👍🏻😎😃
Wowzers! That black one with the crystals is magic.
Absolutely!
So what I’m seeing it that someone need a UV light display case…next project?? Lol! That was so fun to watch!! Mother Nature is the ultimate artist
That would be awesome! Do they make UV string lights?!
@@AgateDad I don’t know about string lights, but I think you can get a long bulb light.
That was fun. Had to look up “agatized”. Amazing, one mineral replacing another without losing its form. Thanks 👍👍
These are so neat. They'd make great earrings and necklaces! 🤩
I loved the one with a pocket of black crystals, but under the UV lights, a lot of the other corals are astounding!
Agatized coral can be some of the most stunning stones I've seen, thanks for the video and the link to purchase some, I have a 5" trim saw and most of those look like it could handle them.
If he is out send me a Message on IG or FB and I can part with some, I have so much
@@AgateDad Thank you for the offer my friend.
I tryed to get some and lost out but my question is what are you going to do with all the ones you opened and im new to cutting and just joined a group to learn about cutting things I think it will be so fun
Yayyyyy for Agate Dad Fridays! Always my reward for still having a job on Friday! LOLOLOL
😂 you’re awesome!
Based on your previous video on these corals, I ordered a large box. I've cut about half of the order and some do show interesting patterns. I want to polish the cut surfaces....when the temperatures go down (Arizona). I will use a flat lap and will start the process with a medium/fine grit disks. My small saw is the same as yours, and when I cut for a little over an hour, my blade was covered with rust by about 2/3rds of the way through. I didn't think about the salt issue and I have soaked my remaining corals in fresh water a few times. I don't know if the soaking will cause any harm to the coral, but it will probably be easier on the blade.
That’s crazy about the rust! I never had that happen, sometimes there’s a little when I forget to dry the blade after use but never during.
Those were great....I loved a couple of them more than others....😀😉😍Until the next video.....have a blessed weekend 🙏💜
You too!!
Gorgeous! Old, dead coral - what a wonderful mystery! 💕💕
Always a mystery with every cut! Fun to watch!
Idk if any other rockhounds can relate, but I always feel like nature is playing a practical joke on me, where some of the most beautiful, detailed, and unique specimens I have ever found are so tiny, while some of my biggest I only kept for their size because they are otherwise average at best
Most of those looked freaking awesome! I don't think I could even pick a favorite honestly.
I really enjoyed the cutting of these fossilized coral, some of them were stunning x 💖 🇨🇮
You bring me great joy the way you share your cutting with everyone, like We’re right there with you👍 thank you Agate Dad!
I was hoping you would show under UV light ✨️ 🥰
It looks like an adventure with every cut, I know that took a bit but always worth the time to find something new, like snow flakes not one is like another.
Hi Taylor, that material is very interesting. Some were quite plain while others were very interesting. I think I can see a UV display cabinet coming up some time in the future. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin
Thank you for taking the time to video, edit and cut all that agate coral to share with us. Amazing stuff
woww... so amazing after seeing the contents inside, it's really amazing.
Cut, cut, cut! Most of them looked great. Always love the UV.
Wow, a whole lot of work and just a few that are awesome, in my opinion
Wow, they all look beautiful under that UV light. Thanks for your videos 😊😊
Thanks for watching Rita!
The third to the last one looked like butterfly wings. Some really awesome pieces! ♥️😁
I truly enjoyed it, I never new that coral look so BEAUTIFUL inside!!! Thank you!!!
I just LOVE black agate! It's like a box of chocolates! 🤷♀ you never know what you're going to get! lol
😂 exactly!
I got a few pieces through a trade. It's really cool.
That odd shaped piece near the beginning looked like a boot or Italy. Actually another one you did looked like a boot as well.
Very cool video, you did find some interesting pieces.
So... pretty. Love those crystals. Awesomeness!!! Polished up, might make beautiful earrings with smalls due to lightweight materials. Matching set, and a nice necklace too. Probably could find a wire wrapping rockhound. Christmas presents for the beautiful wifey! Also ornaments for your family.
I love any kind of corals. I have coral fossils that are just so cool looking. Love the agatized coral. That is so beautiful.
Beautiful! Its so cool how the UV light brings out more of the beauty and the band's. I'd make Christmas ornaments out of some. If resin didn't take away the beauty and drill a hole to run ribbon through it to hang on the tree. Oh, polish first.
I love the agatized coral. The one with the crystal was awesome. I think they are all awesome. I hope I can get one someday. 🖤
Love the crystal one too!
Those are some absolutely beautiful agatized corals! i think even the duds are amazing! Each one is so unique and different, they are all beautiful. I love them under uv. They show way more bands and its amazing Awesome video!
Being that they are so fragile, I'm sure you could stabilize them before cutting and help keep them from crumbling on you. Always fun to watch a cutting, 😉👍
How could you stabilize them?? I have no idea how one could 🤷♂️
Try dipping one in super glue see what happens.
Pouring into a block of epoxy resin maybe?
Just throwing out some ideas 💡.... Never know until you try.
WOW, AMAZING!!!
Great video👍👍👍
Thanks!
Love your videos!
Thanks Jane!
They looked like old bones. But very interesting anyway. Thanks for taking the time to show us something new
That big one at the end has a shape that reminds me of a Tully monster lol
Really cool!!
Those are really neat! We are actually headed to Florida next week and I’ll have to look for some of that stuff! Thanks for the video:)
Sweet!
Really Really cool video!!!!!
Those pieces are BEAUTIFUL!!! Do you happen to know what the black crystals are?
They’re not actually black crystals, they just look black because the internal color is black. They’re quartz crystals I’m assuming.
So amazing
turns out the coral is very interesting after cutting it...
Hey Dad, I live up in Moosonee, ON, Canada and the shores here are covered with coral fossils. My question is, how do you know if they are Agates or not? Or are they all Agatized to a point?? Amazing video as always. Peace V
I'm on Lake Ontario. Do you get any from around here? Love these cuts. So beautiful!
Very cool
I kept seeing animals I just saw goat dog shoes feet and sneakers I saw things in the shapes you can make some art out of that stuff really nice
WHAAAAAAT!? Dont clean off the orange stuff! That stuff looks so cool.
I'm curious how you'd polish some of those long pieces.
Cool coral where is that from or found?
Florida
Nice. Is the color inside based on the mineral in the sand or environment where the lived?
Good
My fav was the one with the small black crystal pockets. I have a question, the solid black faced ones that shone all the colors and banding, if you slabbed it, would any color come thru with normal light?
So these are how common. bc I found a bit of these myself and if the all look like these do I need my cut
Where did you get those super 😎
Amazon 😅
@@AgateDad Can I ask how much that boxful cost?
Are corals with different crystals???
Gostei muito obrigada 💓
Where can you get a box that size?
Linked on my linktree in description
Can I ask where you find this stuff.
Florida
How do you know they are agatized?
Looks like a bunny
subtitles in portuguese please.🤣🤣🤣
Portuguese is added in captions
That big one at the end has a shape that reminds me of a Tully monster lol
