Huge leaps forward (FINALLY!!!) for HD. I think the pressure from Indian-Polaris is paying off for everyone. Plus the price point is exciting. I'll probably look at the 2025 or 2026 models in the future when I buy a forever bike, right now I'm tossing around my 04 Fatboy and will continue to do so for a few more years. I've ridden my buddies Electra Glide (same fairing style as the Street Glide) and I've test ridden another buddies older Road Glide ST and I have to say I really enjoy the RG fairing, steering is a LOT lighter. Wind also doesn't hit quite as hard with the RGs fairing. 80 MPH on the highway on the RG vs the SG, pretty big difference in my opinion. I felt more with the SG. I also became a huge fan of the heel shifter on my Fatboy but it took some time to get used to, now instead of scuffing up my boots I just tap the heel, and for me finding neutral seems a lot easier with the heel for some reason.
Your reaction was exactly how I felt 15yrs ago when I finally ate crow, and tried out a street glide of my buddies for the first time.. I was a die hard sport bike buy that went from a cbr600rr to a cbr1000rr, to a zx14r... Then in 2010 I finally rode a Harley, and found out why they are so beloved by so many.. They are perfect for regular/daily riding.. The hard hitting torque of the vtwin, the insane sound, comfortability allowing hours of riding, and they are so easily customizable to your liking.. I bought one within 30days of riding his bike and haven't looked back.. I still have the zx14r, but in almost 15yrs, I have only put 4k miles on it, since buying my 1st Harley...
I'm the same. I just traded in my 21' SG Special. I didn't think I would, but I absolutely love the 24' RG! I got it in Whiskey Fire! Keep the rubber side down.
You should do a Spyder F-3S not the touring model! I thought my ridding days were over after I had a bad stroke. My balance is almost gone. But the Spyder don’t require balance. Love mine, I’m back on the road!!! Wind therapy is real!!! That headlight is awesome.
Ive been riding Harley baggers since 2017. At first the heel shifter was weird. Once you get used to that and heated grips, its a must have. Love the new design. I have a 21 road glide limited, and love it.😮
I own the whiskey fire 24. I've upgraded it to stage 2. I recently took it out to the twisties, and she handled it like a charm. I scratched my pipes some, but that's what high temp paint is for 😂.
My first taste of your channel was the one of you getting pulled over on your dream bike a while ago. Glad I found this channel, this is the first motorcycle channel I've found that I really wanna follow!
It actually does have Brembo brakes and has had them for years. They're just not branded Brembo. Nice to hear about the heat coming off the engine. Most reviewers act like with the change to water-cooled heads there's suddenly no heat coming up off the engine and onto the rider, anymore.
Awesome video! Now that you tried the Harley, I'd love to see you do a video on the Indian Challenger. Since you're not the "typical bagger rider" it would be great to see your comparison of the two direct competitors!
I’ve been wanting you to ride a Harley touring bike for a years. Maybe not as fast as a 600/1000, but it’s a different experience. I also have a street triple. Now you understand 😊. You can put groceries in it. No backpack. Any age touring will give you the same experience. Street glide rides almost identical.
Great video review. I love your enthusiasm. I got a great deal on a brand new 2022 Street Glide Special just 8 months ago (the last 22 that my local dealer had on the floor) and it was my 2nd Street Glide in the last 10 years (with a few other bikes in between) and I immediately tricked it out with all of the usual accessories (including extended bags and a rear fender) thinking that I was going to keep this one for awhile. Then I made the mistake of taking a test ride of both the new SG and Road Glide. HOOKED RIGHT AWAY!!! I ended up trading in my 22 SG for the exact same Road Glide you reviewed. I've only had it a couple of days now (but long enough to have 350 miles on it) and so far the only "gotta haves" that I can come up with is a new windshield (like most of them... the stock windshield looks good, but doesn't really deflect enough wind like it needs to for a big touring motorcycle) and probably a different seat if you're going to be logging any 500+ mile days. Other then that... I think Harley Davidson really knocked it out of the park with these redesigns. Especially considering that they are a brand known for "baby steps" when it comes to making changes to their products. On another note... I lived in Atlanta for almost 40 years (I now live in Tucson, AZ) and purchased my first Harley Davidson from Killer Creek. So it was really fun watching you ride down Roswell Road and then jump on 400. It brought back some good memories. All the best with your channel and keep up the good work.
Picked up a 23 CVO ROADGLIDE in Whiskey Neat, absolutely love it. Have ridden limited for the last 15 years i really love the fixed fairing. Love the new design. The 121 is so powerful.
Greetings from France! Thank you so much for this first ride video. Love it! One of the best I have seen so far! I purchased a Fat Boy 2023 a year ago and I was planning on keeping it for at least two years... until I showed up at the Harley dealership for a test ride of this superb Road Glide 2024 this morning. OMG! I had the exact same sensations as you describe in your video. It's a heavy bike but you don't feel it and it's so fun and so easy to ride. As much as I like the Fat Boy, I am just about to resell it to purchase this Road Gilde... in Sharkskin Blue! Long live Harley Davidson!
I think it would be cool if they added a camera to the front in the headlight, then when you push a button or get below like 15mph you'd get the camera up on the screen to make a "see-thru" fairing.
The way people shit on HDs youd think they werent making great bikes. They may not be for everyone and expensive af, but they certainly arent anything close to bad bikes.
"expensive af" is the issue, I wouldn't mind having one at all. But in New Zealand, this exact bike starts at over $50,000NZD, bit much for what you're getting.
Dude, I test road one in in May, in a state I don't live in. When I got home, I called a couple dealers, put a down payment on the color I wanted, and bought it with my AMEX card! My only issue with the bike is that I wish I had time to ride it more! Hope you bought it too!
Yep, Harley came a long way! I was a R6 dude, been following your videos for years, and I'm done with sports bikes. One test ride, and it's game over, lol
See if you can get on an Indian Challenger. It's the bike most people are comparing the Road Glide to, and I am curious what your unique perspective would be on it.
Its funny when more sport bike oriented guys ride a Harley and realize why cruiser guys like them so much. Not that you've ever had a hugely negative opinion, just think its funny. Nice video
Always watched your content for the sport bikes as a cruiser rider myself, however I love your cruiser content!!! Cool to not only watch your reaction, but your new found appreciation for cruisers as well
Sounds like it’s time to trade in that Sportster! Welcome to a world that not many people know about. Take that bike to a twisty road up in the mountains and I’m positive you will never go back. Harley’s, especially the touring line, are some of the most maneuverable bikes out there and will surprise you 100% of the time.
Great video! As configured, sport mode is only about 85% capability as far as throttle response, and engine braking goes. As for the brakes that you mentioned, the ones equipped on the 24 road glide are Brembo’s and have been for years, but they are Harley branded.
I bought one, I'm waiting for the modifications to be completed, but seeing your video makes me want to go riding even more!! THANKS De Montréal, Québec, Canada
Great review, man…I own the White Onyx Pearl version of this bike. I own both Indian and HD touring bikes. We sold entirely on Indian…until this bike. Hands down the best all-around touring bike out there. Quick question…what phone mount are you using in this review?
This review was pivotal in me getting up the nerve to test one of these. (Not scared of bikes, but 2 bad knees...was very sketched out at the thought of dropping it.) After 2nd test ride, brought it home Saturday. 👌🏻 Thanks for this review!!
Heel shifter is great, except for the guys that stomp it like a dirt bike. HD uses some "cheap" material, where the splines strip if you overdo it. I've had it since 92, and am hooked!
They are definitely sweet! Rode one during bike week and loved it. Way better than my 22 was stock. If I didn't want a play bike, I'd consider trading in my 22 for a 24.
After owning 21 bikes in every category, got a 22 HD Roadglide Spec(they rule the open road, long distance)and 22 BMW GS 310, daily year round in Wisconsin , waiting patiently for Buell Super cruiser next year, maybe a M1000 XR this summer lol
OC definitely you should do a first ride on a street glide. I've been looking at both the SG and RG for sometime now but I'm not sure yet because of the price but i love everything about them.
Great video i noticed how much excitement you got from this Road Glide its about time Harley bikes becoming faster and more powerful for the fans of the brand. Ride safe man.
you need to try the new CVOs 23 CVO or 24 CVO. you need to try the 121 VVT and see the big difference between the both. it gets even better!!! VVT makes a huge difference

I ride an R6 but last summer my buddy parked his 2019 road glide at my garage for a few month and I was riding it a lot. It's weird to say this, but I felt more confident lean over the road glide than R6, maybe because of how low the center of gravity is on the road glide compare to R6.
OC Definitely want a review of the street glide too. But I am also interested in knowing your thoughts of how this compares to the Low Rider ST? Most people consider the low rider ST to be a better deal than the Road Glide, but it is definitely a different bike despite having the same engine.

This is how a review should be, it’s convincing me to want one lol
I wouldn't care if that bike gave Chase an orgasm, I think it's hideous. To each their own I guess.
