Attractiveness aside, Timothee would make an unforgettable friend. Conversations would be transcendent. He has such a soothing presence and seems so sincere and kind in the way he expresses himself and interacts with peers. The very definition of a sweet spirit... rare in this day and age.

Actors are often not able to express themselves cogently bc they are so used to speaking another person’s words. Sometimes it can be painful to listen to them being interviewed. One of the reasons Timothee is so appealing is that he’s so articulate, poised & thoughtful. And no offense to most 22 year old guys, but they’re not always the most eloquent speakers. This kid is. He’s a joy to watch both on & off the screen. The BAFTAS & Oscar’s should give him the award just for the acceptance speech he would give. I’m looking forward to “Beautiful Boy”; it’s based on the life of one of my former students.

They called him a "once in a generation talent" and I could not agree more. I am not very generous with my compliments but this young man is the real deal. Eloquent, grounded, well-read and sensitive. He is not typical Hollywood material and is so refreshingly different and honest. Amazing!

Love how he speaks very carefully, choosing his words very deliberately-- the way he voices his thoughts is very complex and eloquent! It's adorable that he still avoids eye contact a little and looks down a lot~ Maybe that'll change as he gets older, but honestly I think it's pretty damn cute and charming.
renkarts i think it depends on the situation. In movies, he completely changes and truly ‘steps in the shoes’ of the character the director wants. However, when he is alone and answering tough questions: he shows signs of insecurity and nervousness, implied by the subtle posture of slouching, looking at the floor and stuttering. Although his personality seems to be quite diverse.

He is very eloquent -- which makes it wonderfully entertaining when his eloquence fails him. In one clip here on youtube, he means to use the word "analysis" but can't quite come up with it. So he settles for a made-up derivative of the word that is quite funny.

Loved this guy in 'The King'. He has a depth that is immensely watchable.
he really inspires me, in a way i cant explain. he is so devoted to acting and ridiculously gifted, yet it seems as if he is completely unaware of his talent. That's what makes him so much more authentic. The part where he explained what makes him want to be an artist/actor is "the feeling of flow" when "you lose yourself and find that certain feeling." He described the feeling of true passion. It makes me think of moments when I have felt like that, and it was while acting too. He is going to go extremely far
I think he is extremely aware of his talent but his intelligence and passion for his craft keep him grounded. I imagine he also has a strong family unit which sets him in good stead. You’re right though, he’s definitely gifted xx

@@lornaphillips2044That’s why when he applied the second time at La Guardia(not because he’s not that talented but it could be his academic marks didn’t get to the standard the school sets. La Guardia takes in students who have the talents & the academic know-how that meet its standard. Timothée was accepted the second time around because of his UP THERE talent. One of the prof in the drama dept vouch for him.
The way so passionate he talks about acting demonstrate how much he is captivated about what he does and it's something that he really enjoys and is super grateful for have the opportunity to do what he loves
I’m not aware of any other actor with the same passion that he has. That’s what makes him special. He works hard and it pays off, he’s very thoughtful, he has something that no other actor has and it’s hard to really put your finger on, but you feel it any time you watch him on screen, it’s universal. I’ve seen every one of his films now, I felt like I had to MAKE SURE it wasn’t a one off with CMBYN , and it most certainly isn’t. Can’t believe there was ever time when we WERENT all aware of him, and I love that this is the only the start of his career and still so young, it’s exciting to think about his future as an actor.

i really like the way Timothee and Armie expressing their thoughts, experiences, the looks on life and how they see their characters in CMBYN. tim's so humble and very mature for his age. i couldn't even say like that when i was that age. it's really lucky for me to see Tim and Armie as a couple , not just anybody can be the right fit for the film :)

It must be said -- but this is so obvious it really ought to need no saying -- that Timothee Chalamet is already, at the age of 22, a very great actor. His performances are all stellar, including and especially his performance in CMBYN. It really seems as if he can play most any part, and I mean that as the highest possible compliment. It'll be fascinating to watch his career progress.
I could listen to him speak like this for hours and hours and hours non stop. The sound of his voice it’s just so eloquent.

i watched this yesterday and didnt memorize a single thing he said because i could not stop thinking about how beautiful he is. today tho, i came back to this video and picked up about 50% of what timmy said (the other 50% i just couldnt focus) and honestly he is one of the smartest people out there, he chooses his words so carefully and expresses himself in such an amazing almost surreal way, most of the time uses words that i dont even understand and is so professional and inspiring. imma come back to this tomorrow and hopefully pick up the rest.

I put on hold the vid & read all the comments, click the ones I like & sometimes literally note down in my notebook those eloquently expressed comments. Then I watch the vid, many times replays parts that I like to hear again & again & again …..!

Lots of this is also just great life advice as well as acting advice. Wear your heart on your sleeve and be honest, come prepared, know when to help a colleague out, be adaptable, don’t take notes personally and instead take them as goals, and lastly enjoy what you do, find your moment. Timothee is a true legend and an exceptional actor and although he is still at such a young age he seems so mature and wise. You’re amazing mate and I wish you the best.
