Sure, they were from SM, but they are the pioneer girl group that brought the current girl group tropes into the scene. The girl groups you see now are variations of the concepts they brought. In the beginning when they debuted the amount of backlash and hate they got was astronomical because the scene was full of boygroups, so please don't belittle their efforts and say that just because they're under SM everything was easy. It wasn't. No one else was doing it like they were. If you're saying EXID has it harder, of course they did. By the time they debuted, new groups were debuting everyday and kpop was on the rise and it was so saturated at that point. It's a feat if a group that debuted around that time is still around now. Good for EXID, they can still hold their ground and for a while there they were everywhere, which was great. Both girl groups you mentioned faced trials that were specific to when they debuted. So, for you to say that SNSD had it easy because they debuted a long time before the surge of kpop groups is unfair.
