the harmonica solos on this one at 2:20 and 4:12 are more effective than the song itself. maybe especially the gospel bit at 5:04. i don't know why but when the harmonica resurfaces in dylan recordings post-1975 it seems to give the songs a bit of magic. the harmonica makes "shooting star" sound like a lament for a fallen soldier. on "every grain of sand" it expresses the emotion in the lyric

Just getting into Bob Dylan and realize these religious albums are some of his best. Street Legal- Infidels are my favorites. Always heard about this period in a derogatory way but its fake news! It's best to do your own research!
