They want to be. Certainly more effort went into aping the style of a movie trailer, but none of the substance. Which is at least three times the effort that goes into the games.

The sound design is awful,the feeling of movement is awful,the gunplay is awful, the map design is awful. Battlefield 5 indeed also suffered from the same exact issue. Battlefield 1 on the other hand was indeed different but done right and within the feeling of battlefield. Bf1 is a perfect example of developers that know there franchise so well that they can change it without losing it's core identity.. Something bf5 and bf 2042 failed big time.

What the players want is an immersive and authentic BATTLEFIELD experience. As in, we're on an actual battlefield! We want to feel like we're part of a squad, working together, using our tools and gadgets to gelp each other. We want to FEEL like we're actually part of a tank crew. We want to FEEL like we're pushing a building as a team and we're methodically clearing it. We don't need massive pre olanned Hollywood set pieces. Let us create our own Battleifld moments by givig us a sandbox to play in. I want to sneak around the enmy base with suppressed weapons and steal their helicopter liek I sued to do in BC2

They still not make an update to resolve HDR issue after 1 year. Good job, DICE. I quit the game for that. I can t play on SDR this game with a OLED monitor. A lot of us buy or upgrade the screens with all the futures and they broken the game. Same issue with Dead space Remake. Shame

I play a lot games with HDR and work perfect. Weird Maybe auto hdr is broken. Not have Off/ON like others games. Btw, i have auto hdr activated on Windows settings.
@ragnar_ro You don't need auto hdr BF2042 has native hdr so just calibrate Windows hdr then go into 2042 turn on hdr then calibrate hdr in 2042 and your set simple.
