That's GREAT!!! You all did a remarkable job making this film. I think it's some of the greatest stunt work and coordination ever filmed. How long did it take all of you to practice the game before you got there? It must of been some sight walking into the arena for the first time and seeing this set!! You can see that Ms Wygant was pretty intrigued at the sight of it.She did a great job letting the guys speak and had enthusiasm for the interview. Can you tell us a little about actually playing the game between takes or was that a rumor? Thanks for making this film so amazing!!!

Great interview. One of my favourite films of all time. James Caan is a legend in my book. Godfather, Rollerball, Thief, Killer Elite, Cinderella Liberty, Alien Nation, Comes a Horseman,
Bridge too Far, Gardens of Stone, Slither, Hide in Plain Sight. These are all excellent films and terrific performances by James Caan. Thank you for posting this interview.

Thank you for posting this. I just watched the film a few minutes ago. I was about 10 years old when it came out, and I remember it then, even though I would have been too young to see it. Did see it many years ago, and it's even better watching it now. It's the perennial favourite Spartacus story, done very well.

Although JAMES CAAN had incredible stunt-made cinematic creation through-out his career. James was a very hard-working actor, he did more then what the directer wanted of him. James was was very considerate of other actors, this made him much more real in his acting, he was great actor of his time, and now.

Never seen this before. Funny to think their framing was that modern society was too corporate back in the mid 70s! Best line in the interview was James Caan summarizing that, "Folk heroes breed revolution."

I just watched this film again after 40-some odd years. It was neat to see this interview. Although the dialogue and character development was pretty minimal, I do see some resonances with the pablum that corporate media feeds the masses, and some of the tensions in our current politics (Darwinian free-for-all vs. nanny-state).

You can tell that James Caan has had a very long day getting beaten to a pulp. No time for interviews.
