Always been an Eddie Jones fan(even though he sacked my mate at the Brumbies years ago lol),& as a Bulldogs fan I love James to bits. Great interview and I have even contacted my brother(A Rugby coach, former player) to watch this, big insight into what needs to happen to put Rugby back at th top tier in Aussieland. Most of us grew up playing both codes & I have a love for both,I always wished the 2 dodes worked together, not against,we hav to compete noe with nt only AFL but very much soccer too. Long live Rugby,in any guise it is still Rugby

What a great listen this was.
Shows what a great bloke and great mind Eddie really is.
When you hear the other side of the story is starts to make sense and imo Rugby Australia will regret letting him go in the long run.
Should never have been punished for planning ahead

Yes. Massively. Got the NRL re started before any sporting comp in the world during covid times, despite overwhelming opposition from the general population, and lots of criticism. Only his vision, leadership, ambition, and contacts made this possible. Look what he did at Harold Park. NSW racing. His record is revolutionary, and flawless as a leader.

Would be interesting to see a XV side work with a left and right split, working as two pods with the 9 and 10 running each pod and having a centre, lock and flanker each side to run it hard, secure the ruck and counter-ruck. I think League people underestimate the added challenge of trying to attack through 15 rather than 13 men, especially when they're right on your nose by the time you get the ball because they're not standing 10m back.

    Great interview. Love this channel.
As for Jones. What a clown. He’s a narcissist and snake oil salesman.
What an absolute crock of shyte.
Only a narcissist can come in, mess things up and leave as if they are the martyr and that it wasn’t their fault.
He kicked australia in the teeth by leaving out one of the greatest Australian players of all time, because Hooper had an opinion on how the team played best. Eddie needs players to kiss his bum. Like big Skelton did. Hooper inspired the team and had a lot of respect from the team. He also wasn’t scared to tell Eddie his honest opinion and didn’t always agree with him. Eddie didn’t like that. His ego was more important than the team.
Japan rugby also confirmed they were talking to him about coaching jobs before and during the World Cup.
It takes a special type of narcissist to be right, hold on to their lies,
despite the evidence showing they are wrong.
His line of ‘the players were under enough pressure, so I took the pressure off them with the interview with the press, telling them to punch themselves and being an absolute far kwit because that’s how much I care about the players’ was A wonderful example of narcissism right there.
    No.
No, he didn’t want to take the pressure off the players. If he wanted to do this, he would be amicable, civil, calm and confident. He would not create a division between the team and the entire country of Australia. He would reinforce the narrative that we need to Australia and we know you support us and ‘we are gonna do our best’.
    What a tool.
The whole board in the ARU should be sacked.
    Good riddance to Eddie.
    #BringBackRennie
