  • A short video showing an update from my previous video sowing gemmae from temperate Pinguicula grandiflora. I also show all other gemmae, seeds and mature plants I have from my Pinguicula grandiflora as a whole collection within the Greenhouse.

Thanks for the update! Look forward to seeing their progress throughout the year. I finally got my grandiflora and it's doing well so far! Came with 2 flowers. Flowers are now gone and it's making some new leaves.

Hello. I have just found your great site and subscribed. I have been keeping sarracenia as a marginal for some years in my pond with moderate success. Unfortunately this year I have been caught out with the unusual long period of cold weather and they are looking a bit worse for wear. What would you recommend, in order for them to return to their former glory, or will the hopefully warmer weather to come just heal. They are alive! In appreciation. David

Thank you for subscribing I’m glad you like the content. For those I keep outside and even some of those I keep inside the greenhouse I’ve had several issues with new growth due to the cold. Some plants are only just coming back from dormancy. The best way is to be patient and give them time as there is no way really to speed up the process

Same here! Doing the best I can in my apartment with a balcony, a makeshift shelf and some grow lights. Would be amazing to be able to control the environment more and have room for so many different species like she has.

I’ve only had my greenhouse 2 years now, before I also had to make use of space I had. With the greenhouse had allowed my collection to grow significantly. If ever possible I definitely recommend

If I had a green house I'd do some afternoon drinking🥃 in there while I tended to my plants.

Thank you for watching! For Pinguicula I use a mixture of sharp sand, horticultural grit and peat. For propagation I use sphagnum moss
