Kia Soul EV Review | Electric Meets Quirky

Anyway, welcome to my review of the Kia Soul EV, or if you're watching this in other parts of the world, E-Soul. Unlike the last Soul, the new one is only offered in EV flavour in Europe following the large sales of the electric version of the predecessor.
This makes for a straightforward lineup, and it's even more so in the UK as there is just one trim level available - First Edition. They should have called it 'Only Edition', but that's neither here nor there. The look may very different, but it shares the same 64kWh heart as its sister, the e-Niro, and also features the same electric motor, which offers 204hp along with 395Nm of torque.
This power is fed to the front wheels and is able to propel this boxy compact SUV to 60mph in a respectable 7.6 seconds, with a top speed of 104mph. Range is what a lot of you will want to know, and the Soul EV should have you well covered as it offers a generous 280 miles from a single charge. The battery is bigger than some other electric cars, and with that comes a longer charging time, to get from 0-80% battery will take over an hour when using a 50kW charger for example.
The First Edition will cost you £34,54 after the UK government has given you £3,000, and offers a healthy amount of features including LED lights, 17" alloys, leather seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, head up display, 10.25" touchscreen, navigation, smartphone connectivity, 7" digital display, wireless phone charging pad, rear parking sensors, reversing camera, plus more, and there is a good amount of safety equipment as well.
