Very nice, but that filter is WAY too small for that many fish. It really needs to be 3-4 times as big. And there is very little water circulation. The pump should've been farther away from the filter to move water from one end to the other more. Overall very nice, but there should've been more thought into the filter. However, It's not too late. Just do a larger filter behind the wall and have a water fall cascade into it. It probably would look better too since, I think that big planter just sitting on top like that looks kind of weird (and unstable).
The pond overall is vastly too small for even one koi, let alone so many. There's virtually no room for them, and the recommended size is 1,000 gallons *minimum* per koi. Typical RUclips, animal abuse for clicks.
I agree. The man has some excellent masonry skills, to be sure, but while the pond is done very well and is quite beautiful... it's not the proper enclosure for koi. The whole thing is maybe 1-2 thousand gallons, which is way too small for that many koi and the filter is woefully undersized. With no bottom drains, there's going to a lot of debris accumulation and I would expect the free ammonia would reach deadly levels within just a few days and the poor koi would be gone before the nitrite levels have a chance to cycle. This is especially true if the PH and water temperature are high (above 27 degrees C.) I love the fact he's using fired ceramic to create a pseudo Bakki shower, but the pond is going to crash biologically long before the media sees any nitrates. I would remove all of the koi and dose the pond with some Ammonium (NH4+) a little bit every day until you see the nitrite spike go to zero. This will get your cycle going without putting your koi at risk. Then add some baking soda to raise the KH to 8 dKH. That'll set the PH to a solid 8 and then you can add 2-4 koi depending on their size. Better yet, I would switch to African cichlids now that the pond has cycled. Stack some rock in the pond so the cichlids will feel comfortable. That'll keep them from fighting and look beautiful. With a little more filtration, you can easily go to 100 small Africans. Beautiful work, my friend.
Very nice work! Was thinking of making one out of cinder blocks and this just helped seeing it done first. Only thing id do different is fish safe pond sealer.
Awesome video but come on pvc pipe would look so much better with some bamboo, a nice pre bamboo water fall then the filter bowl and a nice little bamboo spout 😊 still an awesome job👍
That is what the bio balls etc are in the jar. Obviously unless he added used ones with the bacteria already growing it wouldn’t be too effective but he may change the water a lot in the beginning.
Wow😮 Beautiful job done,,,, i would love to have a pond shaped like a Shark 🦈with the fish swimming in its Shark🦈bond belly😂,, that would be also very unique like your pond,,,,very well done.🐙👾🦀🦞🦑🐚🐟🐠🦂
At 13:00 you tossed in some food scraps. Then later you had taken them out and drained the pond completely. What was the purpose of that? Other then that, looks great!!
The whole thing would have been demolished 5 mins after the video cut. I'm surprised that silicone join on the glass held the weight of the water long enough to fill the pond, nevermind get the fish in. I doubt that join would last long
The bananas leaves have tannins which probably help counteract the alkalinity in the cement. I have low ph in my pond I add a cement block. It helps neutralize the ph. He really needs to seal the cement as the ph will never be correct until it ages. He does add a filter with the bio balls etc in the jar. It gorgeous but probably has to age over time before it’s stable. The banana leaves also help with slime coat, they are anti fungal and antibacterial for the fish.

Gave the fish a good ol' soap bath to prepare for a new home. I honestly thought they were dead in that container, they were very calm.
They were squished
I loved how he felt the need to shake the water off them as he transferred to the pont 😂
Very nice work! Was thinking of making one out of cinder blocks and this just helped seeing it done first. Only thing id do different is fish safe pond sealer.
Very smart
What can you use if we dont have banana trunks?
@@mickeycao238 u can just fill the water then drain it after 2 or 3 day. do it few time until the smell of cement go away
Dear Kelly, what kind fish safe pond sealer that you have used? I got the ones from Lowe but it peels off after a couple month....
That is beautiful. Love your work and videos. Love the plants. Thank you gorgeous sharing.😃😀
awesome job there. discovered this video only for chance, and i regret i didn't saw it before. You're a very talented Turkish artisan!
Càng ngày càng làm kỹ hơn trước. Good job bác
The beauiful things in the world no1 ideas we love you
Perfect job! 👏Congratulations! 👍Just a question, why cut and put banana leaves in water?
Helps with cement residue and smell
The leaves to cycle the water
That is beautiful and creative, happy fishes

Traduza ai, isso é show, lindo, maravilhoso, amei, parabéns.
it's a shame that such a beautiful pool doesn't have an adequate chamber
Do you mind explaining? I'm confused, lol. I don't know what you mean.

How long will that adhesive join in the glass panels hold? 🤷♂️
Long enough to film the video I’d say 😮

Maaaan you are amazing I will do that on my little garden
what is that material that you used to paint the cement with at the end ?

👍👍👍
The filter kinda small for that amount of fish
Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't he have added waterproofing paint?
Poor lad doesn't even have a cement mixer doubt he cares about waterproof paint , anyway sand and cement render with the correct admix is waterproof
Yes otherwise the ph will be whacky until it ages

What's the purpose of those leaves (palm?) being added at 12:55?
ok 1st question ...WHY THE HELL YOU DUMP BAMBOO IN THEN SCOOP IT OUT!?!? what was the point??
To help neutralise the alkalinity from the cement, maybe?
I’ll give the glass middle join a month… then it will be fish flapping allll over the patio 🤔
Wjat was he soapy looking water u pulled the fish out of and did u aclamate them as u didnt show this in your video
Kính bác dùng loại nào vậy? Dày mấy mm?
Why do you add and remove these cut banana stems? What are they for?
cai cuc anh cha bong tuong la cuc gi the anh
Is there need of change water or oxygen plant
HI . BEAUTIFUL , WE LIKE , HOT WORK , THANK YOU .
Ethnic dress for women i ❤️❤️
Pond was stunning but you spoilt the way it looks with the terrible pipe work
What's the use of the banana stems?
To neutralise cement chemicals! It’s best to leave it in there for a week color will change and stains the inner wall

And where is the cycle no bacteria they will die instantly
Dude u need to stop ur filter will not be able to take the bio load

it sound like chipmunks you do
i know nothing but i would of put brick support in the corner of the glass
Why did they put those PLANTAIN STEM PIECES at first when they filling water....anybody... somebody....pls...give a reply
To help neutralise the alkalinity from the cement... That's my guess!
