The best in my opinion that is easy to use and within seconds turns matte and really pretty is Sally Hansen "big matte top coat" its in a square clear matte bottle. Its the one that has worked the best for me :)

I think the best to keep them matte is actually washing the top of your nails with soap. It strips the oilyness away
Essie one.... I have the china glaze and orly one and they are not very good .. Also I put a coat of regular seche vite first then the matte top coat and it lasts alot longer against wear and chipping!

You need to use better top coats. The point of top coats is that they make everything dry in just a few minutes.

I recently got my nails done at a salon and asked for a matte top coat on my nails. It was still super shiny afterwards, so I went to the grocery store where I work and picked up a five dollar matte top coat and OMG!!!! It gave the same results as Cristine's Essie polish (without the white flakies of course). So it's funny how life works out.
The white flakes usually are that it missed some spots that are still shiny.

it wouldn't work, the magical rainbows of the holo wouldn't be able to reflect the light because of the matte, and holo needs to have lots of light exposure and reflection to really do its thing.
The holo would not be holo because it will take the rain now goodness away \_(°_°)_/😂😃
Holo needs the refraction of light to show rainbows (which is why it looks better blurred). Matte nail polish prevents light from refracting (which stops it from being shiny).Holo is silver glitter that shines rainbows. Therefore, if you take away its ability to shine (by making it matte) then you're taking away its magical holo rainbow powers

I actually have the Ice one and it works well for me surprisingly. It could be that the cheaper ones don't react well with the black polish you use (they may work with their brand blacks the best). I use a cheap brand for my black

I'm gonna try the Essie one ! I love their gel setter top coat ( clear coat that looks like gel)

Cindy Waller I agree!! 🙌🏼LOL ... also from Dollar Tree, the Pure Ice Frost Finish Matte top coat that she tested in the video, which I been using since forever and it’s one of my favorite matte top coat. It lasted me a whole week and never had any issues with it👍🏼 Maybe everyone make things work out differently? 🤷🏻♀️✌🏼
I just put on the mat ice top coat and it works perfectly fine for me
