Thanks for that Ray. Would be nice to have it as a whole portable unit so I could go winter camping in my trailer tent. You are giving me some good ideas mate.
you can buy a 240V dropper, you plug it in to the mains, connect your heater to the outlet from it that states 12V you can direct the exhaust pipe outside the van or tent, but you will need a good battery as it can take quite a bit of power on start up. Another idea would be to make or get some long jump leads so you can connect the keater to your car battery, it should not run your battery down, then stand the heater outside your trailer tent and poke the big black pipe in the trailer, just my suggestion.
Or you could buy the heater on it's own, which will be a lot smaller then all you need is to put a hole in the floor for the exhaust and fuel pipe along with the fresh air pipe, which you could put in a side locker of the caravan, there are loads of vidio's showing you how to do this, it is very easy.
Just to let you know, they DON'T make a 8KW heater, it is just a way of charging more for the heater, they only make 2KW AND 5KW this is my opinion of them
