It actually wouldn't surprise me if the carcass was the black bears cub. It was a very small carcass and that is the only reason I can see for her getting out of the tree and facing the grizzly. If it was normal carcass the black bear would have just ran.
I think the black bear might have made a kill or was already at the spot scavenging something and the grizzly came later on that's the only reason I can think of the bear coming down and going towards the grizzlies direction before running up again every time. That black bear held on for its dear life!
Rumor has it the two bears are still at it to this day.
Amazing how quickly that black bear got up that tree. Wouldn't expect that from such a big animal
almost as agile as a cat
it is because theyy are strong as fuck. they can lift rocks 300+ lbs with one paw
@@soldatheerolmao that's shit right there for sure.
@@themachete1050 not sure what you mean
@@soldatheero I meant that's bullshit
Lol I never thought that black bears could be that small!!😅😅😅Cute
in the animal kingdom, size truly does matter..
Not always....look at Wolverines !!
@@calderone5559 lol size still matters for them.
Grizzly just wanted to invite the black bear for lunch.

Black Bear: "Fuck this shit, I'm out!"
What a great catch = this video!!! Thanks... 11 years now later
Anybody else kind of wished the black bear ran towards the people laughing at him with the grizzly right behind?
Dicen que el Grisly se los comió y aún en sus fauces seguían riendo x estupidez.
Even bears are scared of bears.
Hyenas laughing at two bears in the woods.
Legend has it that the bear is still in the tree.
He even had his mail forwarded to the tree
Note to self: If being stalked by a black bear, do not climb into tree.
Another more important one never venture into bear territory without a good fire arm and not alone..m
Legend says he's still hangin on to those branches to this day
The poor black bear! I wish that grizzly would leave him alone.
probably left him alone, when he finished stealing black bears meal, he stole his food and kept him away, so im quite sure bear is alright, since he survived encounter with grizzly he has some experience and he is getting smarter. :)
He probably did it for territorial reasons
It actually wouldn't surprise me if the carcass was the black bears cub. It was a very small carcass and that is the only reason I can see for her getting out of the tree and facing the grizzly. If it was normal carcass the black bear would have just ran.
Who is filming? Hyena ?
Ur mean bruh haha 🤣 😂
Grizzly Man Funny JOKE ! A hyena would Fuck and eat a wolf easily.
That witches cackling ruined it for me
The sloth is the bear that said heck with you all! I'll just stay up here.
The grizzly: *bro stop camping*
The black bear: *no*
The grizzly looks like it's eating another black bear when they zoom in.
This is like cats and dogs: but a bear version, the black bear is the cat, while the grizzly bear is the dog
I think the black bear might have made a kill or was already at the spot scavenging something and the grizzly came later on that's the only reason I can think of the bear coming down and going towards the grizzlies direction before running up again every time. The black bear knows there is no fight vs the grizzly but I guess when you are starving you don't just want to back away from a feast.
Nah. Look at the beginning where the grizzly came out. It’s the black bears cub being eaten
SocalPerspective that is exactly what I was thinking. Well that and I was wishing the obnoxious tourists were quiet. Still, if it was a male black bear it would be odd that he wouldn't just abandon the kill at the sight of the brownie. Unfortunately I have the gut feeling that the bear in the tree is or rather was a sow & the kill is likely her cub or cubs. Bears lead very brutal lives. (Alaska for 14 years, some of my friends were bears)
Sugar Ray Dee , read the update August 29, 2012. Park personnel are generally well informed.
R K The update only says that "it seems most likely" that the black bear was never in any danger and the grizzly "probably" had an animal carcass the black was hoping to get a share of. Of course, we'll never know for certain. I'll say that while I'm no bear expert, the black's behavior didn't strike me as that of an animal whose young is being eaten.
Bear on bear crime is out of control!
Black bear: Heh heh to big and too fat to climb up and get me
Grizzly: our black cousins are tree hugging wussies
Poor little black bear... How can he escape from the tree?
Hes playin games, that black bear can escape when hes ready.
She*
Appears as though the grizzly stole the black bear's meal
I bet the black bear killed something and the grizzly took it away. That's why the black bear doesn't just book it out of there. That bastard took his hard won dinner!
prejudice much ?
No I like black brown white reddish bears. Panda bears too
It's the content of the bear's character.
There's also the issue that the black bear knows he can't outrun the grizzly. What a fucking terrifying creature they are.
No, a black bear of that size can take a smaller deer, if he/she can catch it. Run, Deer, run!
What the heck was the white noise in the backround? Sounded like they were in a subway train.
"I just wanna talk..."
plot twist: the grizzly can climb tree
What a life.....very tough.
04:46 is heart stopping. Poor mother bear.
Incredible climbing for such a dense looking animal.
I turned 10 the day this video was made
The grizzly is eating the black bears cub
I was thinking the same thing.....it makes sense thats why it is still in the area....it could have just ran away if that wasn't the case
+Peter Xiong ... That fits well with the evidence.
How do you know
It fits very well. The black bear is in serious danger, yet will not leave and keeps looking into the woods. Then she repeatedly tries to approach the grizzly. This is insane behavior as grizzlies kill and eat black bears. It only makes sense if she is hoping to "rescue" her cub.
😠
Wondering how long this encounter lasted?
