- Once again, the South African hip hop community gathered for another year of Riky Rick's Cotton Fest and it was a major vibe. With performances coming in from almost everyone in the industry, absolutely nobody could say they weren't catered for. Catching up with some of the acts in attendance, Slikour had a brief chat with Emtee regarding his recent song drops, and well as the current state he is at.

I suspect most recording studios are taking major cuts from these "freeware" sites who trade downloaded/streamed music for cookies/profiling/retargeted advertising.
If the Artist owns their Production Company/Record Label then the Fakaza issue wouldn't be a problem.
Most Artists on heavy commercial rotation are signed to a Major/Distribution network, so they feel cheated of their hard-earned work, imo.
Intellectual Property is the MAJOR conversation that EVERY CREATIVE should fully grasp
