Jordan JMS Drums one of our kits has a side snare, but I never use it. Not sure of the size. Of course can’t afford a second snare at home. I am working on upgrading my cymbals, larger that 18” crashes. Haha.
I do not. I really try to learn to play song on a minimal set because of the veriety of settings we play in and set ups we play on. Dont get me wrong. Having a 6 piece kit with loads of cymbals is great but i walked in to a live stream room for a church i havent played for before and was surprised to see a three piece + hats.
When I used to play acoustic drums with the praise team I had 2 snare drums. A 3 1/2 x 13 piccolo snare I used as my main snare. It had a very crisp crack when you wanted to cut through with the snare. I also played a 6 1/2 x 14 that I tuned lower and left the strainer more loose to give a field drum sound I really liked my set but our church built a new campus and bought a Roland TD 20 )top of the line at the time) so the sound tech could better control the band balance. We upgraded to the Pearl Mimic almost 2 years ago. My worship leader sent me this link as we will be doing this song next week.
Great to meet you bro! I proudly will be your 160 subscriber! I enjoyed your content and your playing. Also, your kit is beautiful! You got a friend in Menorca. Rock on!
We have a pearl acoustic kit at our church with mesh heads. We have Roland triggers on all drums and ran through a Roland drum brain. We use real cymbals and high hat.
Wow good job brother and very nice drum I like it someday I have my own drum like your drums. continue to share your talent in God I have a request please play the song "your are good by Planetshakers. thank you so much God bless you
@@JordanJMSDrums ok I see a lot of drummers doing this I have the Roland td 50kv2 and a sampler spdsx both are new I have not been able to see or understand if there using the music from the laptop as a back up fills ECT midi or if that is loaded into the sample and trigged from there
QUESTION FOR YOU:
Do you utilize a side snare in your worship drumming? What size? And Why?

@@JordanJMSDrums amen!
This is really useful for smaller (200ish) churches like ours where we just have a fairly basic kit, no pads, no crazy expensive set up
Thanks heaps!
