The stained glass windows would look quite great as a backdrop for the bar, with some shelves in front with lovely bottles and lighting behind them, maybe. 🤔 and black frame or so..

I have been thinking about that for weeks.
I would look so nice with light behind and glass shelving for the bottles😊
Since he isn’t decorating the convent in the style it originally French manner for the time period anyway , I think it would make nice feature !!
I was also thinking about turning them sideways they would be nice to give to Simon for him to use as windows in the second part of his building that he haven’t started restoring yet.
The part with the bread oven at the back, we’re he said he had to dig out the dirt floor or something . That would look great in a living room.
I think the walls there needs a lot of repair anyway, so making place for big windows shouldn’t be a problem.
I know he’s already built up parts of the wall of the part of the house he’s working on now. In the part that was used for animals, I think one entire corner was gone.

You can hang those windows horizontally from the beams. Beautiful glass.(I am a glass Artist myself) those would cost a fortune to replicate.those clear windows you revealed are keepers too!!

Glass artist here in Canada as well. I thought the same thing. Those would cost a pretty penny to replace today for sure. I’d keep them for now if I were Billy. So many options for them decoratively. They may come in handy later on. Or consider selling them to assist with the Reno’s.

My suggestion for the stained glass windows is to put them as a focal point behind the bar with the premium liquors usually are. Then, light them from the back to show them off. It will make people look at the expensive stuff and maybe decide to try one. I know that sounds awful, but that is what is done in business. Look at your grocery store, retail store or hardware store. The name brand or more expensive items are at eye level or at the front of the store. It is all the same. It is merchandising!

Amazing how much light comes through into the bar area. I would save the stain glass windows to use at the back of the bar (backsplash) or give it to Michael to use for his Greenhouse project, it would really nice there, or even just use a few pieces. Enjoy your day.

Such a transformation taking the curve out - very well done both. Whilst a big task to remove all the curves the benefit will be remarkable in terms of light & space for the room and so much easier to plan a layout then.👍👍👍

I vote for Simon getting the stained glass windows. I think he would do something amazing with them in his farmhouse.

Can’t tell you how glad i am you took those stained glass doors off. They were skilfully made but they don’t suit you’ve already achieved. (Which was me trying to come up with a polite way of saying they’re bloody ugly!) they looked very 70’s, along with the way that skirting was constructed, I wonder if that’s about when the nuns changed that room. It looks so much nicer now with the original window 😊

Definitely use the glass panels in the bar please. It’s a part of its’ history.
How great is Yanis on demolition. ❤️

Ed and Anna might have use for one of panes? Ed was looking for a frame I think for the front door. What a big difference in the light, I can't wait to see the rest of the window's opened up.

The stainglass reminds me of window transoms. I wonder if they could be incorporated in other windows. Pop of color and keeping a bit of history

The windows would look marvelous as a railing on 2nd level of the library!

You should make the front of your bar with it and light it up at the back, it would look amazing

I would love to have them but I in Michigan ,it would make a very pretty out door area space you could have them divided too. So many ideas 👍
