These gloves today stick like glue. Remember when they first came out in late 70s i was in Germany playing Rausch i believe made the first ones.. totally change the keepers game. No more broken fingers now esp with the metal strips inside the gloves, protecting the back of the fingers...
But keepers need to catch as much as possible don't know why its parry,parry,parry..

need to teach our keeper how to catch even the softest shot, not parry it back to where it came from.

I’m sure the highly qualified goalkeeper coach knows what he’s doing

If you catch it you are able to calm down the tempo of the game and reset. If you knock it back at them, that causes more pressure for the defence to clear it or leave the striker through on goal.

sometimes especially when those shots are hard and close it is better to just parry wide then try to catch it and risk dropping it or giving it back to middle for easy goal
