    I know some of these dancers - they are from stradbroke island off the coast of Brisbane. I won't say too much about each one because it isn't my culture - the first dance is called "merriginpa" which means "sea eagle" in the nunuccal language. The next dance is called "garing en daname" and is welcoming the spirits of the old people and the last song i think is a dance for mother earth, for country. These dancers are called the yulu burribah dancers which means the "sand and saltwater people"

      Crushmasterflex last dance is the calling of the dolphins, aboriginal people used water percussions too call the dolphins so they could scare fish into our nets

    Nice show!!
    Are you part of the troop. I love aboriginal music, it comes from heart and touches ones soul.
    Aboriginal people are like soul of this land. They are having hard time in their own country. I wonder how it feels not have our own identity in our own motherland? I strongly support that the culture should be preserved and passed to coming generation.
    Do you feel any hatred towards white blokes?

    0:05 - 0:40 and 1:30 - 2:00 the true pioneers of hard techno except these people actually know how to dance

  • @OzPix
    @OzPix  14 лет назад +3

    Thanks, glad you enjoyed the show, and we agree with all that you have said. However, we are not part of the troop, only the photographers - and white blokes. To feel hatred towards anyone is a negative emotion which is ultimately soul destroying. Concentrate on the positives and enjoy your culture.

    Don't know which is israel or the dance group, but it was filmed a few years ago at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Gold Coast, Queensland.

  • @OzPix
    @OzPix  14 лет назад

    @MsMyrlene Sorry for the delay. I did post a reply but it seems to have vanished into cyberspace... Most Aboriginal dances tell a story with many of Australia's animals represented in the dance movements. As we are only the photographers we do not know more, however other viewers may be able to add to this, also try Wikipedia. Good luck with your class.

    I was wondering what Nation these guys are from? Someone mentioned something about the Gold Coast. Anywhere near Fingal or Tweed Head? I've heard and seen some REALLY similar dances before and I was wondering if they were from the same tribe.
