  • Use this quick tutorial to customize the settings and play the sound from your smart phone NAV apps, like Waze, Google Maps and Apple Maps. Connect through Bluetooth, but still listen to the radio while you get directions through the sound system on your Lexus.

      You bet! Some of the settings have changed recently on some of the map apps, so the steps may change a little depending on the app you're using, but the concept is the same. Thanks very much for tuning in with us!

    Hi thanks for the video. My problem is when I try to increase or decrease the volume while I listening to google map without listening to music, change the volume will start the music with very high volume!. I have no idea why changing volume will start music and how to stop this issue. Lexus gx460 2018

      Wow, Omid. That is a strange phone glitch or setting that I have not experienced. That is not how the system is designed to operate. I would make sure all of your apps and operating system are up to date and check any music and map settings. Also, consider trying a hard reset on your phone. Best of luck with it.

    What car mount are you using for the phone? Just purchased a 2019 Lexus. Thanks!

      Hi William, I'm sorry I'm not exactly sure what mount that was, but I would make sure to buy from a place that does returns just incase the one you find doesn't work well when you put your phone in it. Some of them don't hold the new larger phones well. Best of luck with your search.

    The map sound stops as soon as I plug my phone to the power cable. How do I fix this issue?

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  3 года назад

      Hi Haliuna. If you can give me some more information I will try to troubleshoot this for you.
      1. What model and year is your Lexus?
      2. What phone are you using?
      3. What map sound are you trying to listen to? Native navigation on the car or a map app? If it is an app? Are you selecting Bluetooth Audio as your audio source? When you plug in to the USB port you are basically telling the car you want to play sound from your music library on your iPhone if you have an iPhone. It is different for different devices. The best option for charging is to use the 12-Volt accessory charger so it won't try to connect to the sound system.
      Hope this helps.

    Just when I thought I had finally found the solution to this problem, my Google Maps app doesn't have the option to "Play as a Bluetooth phone call" so it still doesn't play directions over the radio. Disappointed. I have version 10.69.0

      So sorry to hear that, Claudia. I have seen some phones and some operating systems that don't have the setting, even if they used to have it. Hopefully it will be added with a future Google Maps update. Thanks for tuning in.

    How to use iPhone app to remote starting Lexus RX engine ?

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  5 лет назад

      Hi Amy. What year is your RX? Depending on the year of your vehicle it may be compatible with our Lexus Enform Remote app. It requires a subscription for the connection to be active. I'm happy to get you more information or if you call 1-800-255-3987 to reach the headquarters for Lexus and push option 1, then option 2, you can reach an Enform operator and they can help you set up an account.

      In case you already have the app subscription, here's a link to our tutorial about how to use the Enform Remote App: ruclips.net/video/5rEdREGEcQ0/видео.html
      Hope it helps. :)

      @@gao7529 OK for your vehicle you will need: Safety Connect ($8/month or $80/year) to get the connection to the car & Enform Remote ($8/month or $80/year) to be able to use the app. If you go to www.mylexusenform.com and click "Sign up now" you should be able to subscribe and set up your account. Once you have the account set up, load the app on your phone and login with the credentials you created (email and 8 character password). You will be asked to make a PIN for the phone (it can be linked to touch or face ID). Then you will need to link the VIN so that the app can communicate with your vehicle. The app will take you through each step to activate the remote for your Lexus. If you have any trouble make sure to call that 1-800# so corporate Lexus can assist you. For security the dealerships don't have access to the back end of accounts, but we can always help you learn how to use the features.
