    I'm from Pittsburgh Pa and I've been cleaning Windows commercial and residential for 18 years. It's awesome to watch yinz guys come together and learn from each other. I would love to have had this opportunity to do this. I know a lot and can teach alot. And I'm always trying to learn more and more everyday. Keep up the good work on both sides of the pond. He safe and there's enough glass for everybody.

    These videos are awesome, can't you get a major series commission from channel 4 or quest and make a complete series to be aired on UK tv. Really informative and enjoy watching them all

      Is window cleaning that different in Canada?

    • @BrodyYYC
      @BrodyYYC 6 лет назад +2

      Depends on the city. It's pretty similar to the States. But I'm in Canada so if they're gonna film me they're gonna have to come here :P

    Out of interest was Jay using straight pulls when using the trad pole? He was fast so interested in techniques

    • @Windowcleaningvideos
      @Windowcleaningvideos  6 лет назад +1

      Yes, sir. From the top, he straight pulled with a pole, then removed his squeegee to fan the bottom section he could reach.

      Window cleaning videos thanks for your reply, I saw the fanning at the bottom. I am trying different techniques and find the straight pulls the easiest, its better than using wagtail but its just my opinion

      The US crew from Tahoe use straight pulls. In an earlier episode ( follow the episodes link here ruclips.net/video/tddmQIB7R4c/видео.html )they talk about straight pulls VS fanning. Jamie whilst talking to Josh and Corey mention that they would 'two pull' this glass. They were referring to a window that Tom was demonstrating his fanning techniques on.
      Interestingly tho, Carrie ( Window Ninja) also from the US, did not know what the 'two pull' reference first meant as well as the Brit, Tom. So it would seem that maybe some 'terms' and maybe some glass approaches could even differ from one US state to another.

      Window cleaning videos I rem that and like Tom I would only fan a window but would straight pull when using a trad pole. I find this quicker and a better result 99% of the time.Wagtail is ok but slower and the job is no better.

      I think sometimes we can overcomplicate stuff, I agree. Personally, I too straight pull with a pole on big ass glass and finish up with fanning the bottom. I fan all other windows.

    Don't take what the US WC'ers said as universal gospel. Those ppl are all from the west coast. And for the residential market there are a lot of wfp'ers.

    • @BrodyYYC
      @BrodyYYC 6 лет назад

      It's because it's more realistic to use WFP on the west coast, they have softer water. It's one thing to make the initial investment in poles and pumps but if you live somewhere with hard water you're going to be spending thousands every year to filter the water. Or the other option is be a shitty company that doesn't keep up on filter replacements and end up leaving mineral deposits behind.

      I'm a UK window cleaner interested in taking the leap and looking into starting up over in US. Would you recommend?
