- Speedrun of Wario Land: Shake It! in 4:02:52, achieving a 100% in stages, treasure, and missions, done on the digital eshop version on the Nintendo Wii-U (lol). WR as of this upload.
This category aims to 100% the game in three categories:
- Stages - including secret stages. Self-explanatory
- Treasures - Every stage has 3 treasures indicated by the right sidebar (shown when playing the game in widescreen mode)
- Missions - Every stage has some number of missions indicated by the left sidebar (also shown in widescreen mode)
I was aiming for a sub-4 hour run, but after SGDQ and other projects took priority, this kinda fell off my priorities because of how much commitment and practice it requires. So, this is a placeholder run for now - it's not great but it's better than nothing, and it'll be a good video to derust off of whenever I come back to this to get sub-4.
This category is very dangerous and punishing and requires immaculate gameplay in many areas, such as not taking damage, not touching obstacles, and so on. This run has two restarts: Freezing Fields, and Hot Roderick. But, this speedrun is a lot more than just restarts, and there were major timelosses from sloppy movement and mistakes in Boogie Mansion and Gurgle Gulch in particular.

It is an impressive run, but I also have to give credit:
I love seeing speedrunners who do the "moving to the music while idle" thing. It shows they're having fun, and also gives me a decent amount of mirth. X3
One of my last high school memories before the pandemic set in was a bunch of us all playing wario in smash during gaming club while we all discussed the wacky things Wario can canonically do
Hes 9 feet tall, can lift basically anything, etc etc
Point being, having played this game, i know for a fact wario can also:
Break solid steel blocks with his head or his ass
Has a terminal velocity so high he experiences re-entry heating
Can punch the ground hard enough to eject whole stone columns into the air
Is VERY athletic, and can easily out compete any olympic gymnast on the bars
Can shake things so hard that they explode
Owns his own submarine
Lets be honest, hes holding back in smash. He could totally rip apart any of those other characters but he's a good sport about it
9ft of pure money hungry energy that likes to be fair at sports!
That thing you mentioned at GDQ about getting combo'd at the end of the hot rodrick race... now I know what that is.
I'm so sorry
Whats actually kinda messing with me is judging by the acheivements on each stage, this is basically how the game is actually meant to be played.
Makes me really see how pizza tower took wario land 4 & shake it to their natural conclusion
You can't tell me there is no way to port this to the switch.
I saw your GDQ any% run and wanted to see the 100% aswell, and here you are again xD amazing thx for the run, it's really fun to watch :)
Holy shiet congrats !! Cant wait to watch, insane time save
The last real Wario game, but ... the ending was beyond a disappointment
Are you kidding? Wario is based as f
@@kazwach0wsk1 I think they were talking about how Wario didn't even get the Bottomless Coin Sack in the end and it was instead taken by Captain Syrup. Which makes the whole adventure almost feel completely pointless, because getting the treasure was the entire reason behind Wario's quest.
@@mrreyes5004yes, but he still got all that treasure from the levels. In other games, wario has that happen to him like wario land 3 with the wish thing.
To be fair, having a bottomless coin sack would likely prevent wario from going on anymore adventures since he wouldn’t have any incentives to since he has infinite money.
@@astonquintanilla9301Not to mention what the Infinite Money would do to the Economy.
Plus, I think Wario losing the Bottomless Coin Sack makes the ending funnier. It's kinda perfect for comedic purposes.
Still one of my favorite childhood games and I revisit it every so often for a nostalgia trip. Then it eventually makes me come back to this video so I can see someone vastly superior to me play it.
2:59:35 You see how much bro worked really hard. He knew how to get exactly 50 000 coins.
Incredible
Dang that final boss second phase theme hits hard
I despise the sumbarine levels!! If it wasn't night, I would scream so loud, people in China would hear me!!!!!!!
You again?! How do you get so many records?!
I miss this game on my wii
How the hell can you actually find the hidden maps before completing the game, I only know after the game, the hidden maps will only sparkle in some certain areas.
The intro looks like an Anime...
Production IG worked on the cutscenes
Glitch at 3:09:28 ???
Ladder cancel. I do it almost everywhere
