Personally, I'd keep this as a JAMMA cabinet so you can switch between different game boards. There's many very good horizontal JAMMA boards out there, including the Neo-Geo system. I'd also keep the CRT, myself.
This game I see is by Video System. They also made Aero Fighters, which I have the board for and is a pretty solid vertical shooter imo. I notice the font for the "Insert Coins" text in this is the same as in that game.
@@Tr3vor42532 Don't know. A version without the codec is the YM-2612 which is best known for its use in the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. I don't think the 2610 was a whole lot more expensive but I guess it was enough that Sega decided not to use it.
2nd most awful fighting game which is the only fighting game made by Video System (the creator of Sonic Wings/Aero Fighters) next to Best of Best by SunA (korean game developer)(1st) and Fighting K-Road (Psikyo's first and only released fighting game aside of Daraku Tenshi/The Fallen Angels, which they only released a prototype/rushed/alpha version of the game.)(3rd) also the hidden trick here is you can max your health out by 4 stacks max (pinkish white) by putting more coins then pressing start (p1 only) which is makes the game more of a pay2win. and also McO'River is the main US importer of various Video System games. played this on a emulator about 2022..? and the mame emulation of this had the zoom off-centered. btw i watched Andiematronic's Mechanism video because it popped into my recommendation.
I dont think anyone would know that this was the beggining of andies game
Lol, i just finished watching that video

went from a good fighting game, to a bad fighting game, to a fnaf fangame that took 2 years to make.
Nobody could've predicted that this video was apart of the making of an Andiematronic video

Unfortunately that's not my choice, I'll try to convince her to get some sort of jamma setup
I wish I found this video sooner. I could have saved a lot of money on therapy.

Aero Fighters was the North American release name. It is called Sonic Wings elsewhere. There was also Sonic Wings II for the Neo-Geo.
@@douro20 I'm aware of that.
Fnaf?!?!
Lol
What a lovely arcade machine! I sure do hope it doesn’t turn into a FNAF game!
You spoke too soon
Found it, sick find.
I believe the digitized sound is also handled by the YM2610 as it contains a stereo ADPCM codec.
Yeah it probably is. Wonder if there were any cheaper chips that didn't have the fm synth on them they could have used instead

awful game lol but the cabnet looks pretty great! For the name conversion, consider a pi jamma board to do the conversion on the cheap
I haven't heard of that, I'll have to look into it
This game so... TERRIBLE.. 👎👎
