I've been a fan of Reed and Bowie doing this song for decades. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Cheap Trick since the 80's. I absolutely love this rendition!
Why not stay on this peddle-graphy and relive!!?..it's in and the best progress they could hope for at: Rock's gravytrain hill. Been thinkin' the same..life's too short.end.the🐱in the 🎩.bye.
Boys from Rockford…..probably shouldn’t have done this, or do it again….. If you know this song in its original iteration, you’ll know this sucks This review from a guy that really liked this band back in the day….
What a PRETENTIOUS intro. Then the singing is weak. Now't like the original. I was one of the few who bought the original album upon release. It flopped badly but now it's a 'classic' LOL This version S U C K S.....
Many say Lou Reed was a basic player and singer, but I've never heard decent covers of his songs. Lack of energy, tempo and meaning in singing. Most bands that cover Lou don't know what they're singing
@@scooter2377 My 1st concert, Nugent opened for Aerosmith, MSG, 1975. I saw Twisted Sister in a bar in NJ before they got famous. I was on USC's Concert Crew in Pueblo and helped build the stage for Van Halen's infamous brown m&m show in 1980. Saw The Who and The Stones at Folsom Field in Boulder in 81 & 82 - front row on the field. Saw Pink Floyd at Mile High for their Animals tour - pig on a wire. Bruce Springsteen at least 6 times. AC/DC many times. Neil Young & Crazy Horse many times. Ozzy, Manson, Scorpions, Bowie, Zakk Wilde/BLS/Zakk Sabbath, Hollywood Vampires at The Greek Theater here in LA. Alice Cooper back in the day. This is just flat-out GREAT!
Gotta see this live.....
What a freaking performance! This is g dam genius. Saw them play twice and he did this Velvet Underground classic 😮😮 !!!
Absolutely nothing wrong with interpreting a song the way you feel it. All the negative comments are disappointing

Totally loses the groove of the song
Well yeah…it’s cheap trick..no one can vibe like Lou
Embarrassing crap insulting
I agree. Such a “cheap trick” but I suppose you “had to be there” right? A few beers, the excitement, the “vibe” 😂
Nope
I love Cheap Trick but this is awful, they have so many great songs of their own, why play this dirge?
This is not good. Sorry Tom..I know what I want..and this ain't it.

Pretentious lol. Nah this rocks. Love the original too of course. Different band. Would suck if they played it just the same.

Self indulgant nonsense, nothing to do withe essence of the classic tune. Lou would not arrove and either do I. Back to the rockin' chairs lads!
Lou Reed was at best an average musican.
Just complete CRAP WHAT SONG WERE THESE CLOWNS TRYING TO PLAY
