Drag the trees to the sell point. BEFORE you sell cut them to 6meters you make way more money from a pile of 6meter logs than from a pile of full length trees.
FS 22 logic
I’ve heard of that for sure. But we should be very close to being done selling that way.
I ran a test of three fully grown spruce trees and got the Following results.
Whole Tree sold for $1021 and yielded ~4969L of wood.
The next was cut with the length set to 12m (40ft) which sold for $2561 and yielded ~4861L of wood.
Cut into 6m (20ft) lengths the whole tree sold for $3467 and yielded ~4854L of wood.
@@toddjensen5689 that’s insane. What’s the justification? The extra labor that the selling location has to do?
And you take a significant reduction for not de-branching the trees...
@@toddjensen5689 I’m literally about to sit down and record the next episode. This was super helpful. I avoid trees outside of starting these play throughs. Doing a tree only one will be interesting
If you want to make millions theres a mod called '60 buildings pack' that has a saw mill in it for $40,000. It produces playground equipment (wooden climbing frame tower). It uses A LOT of timber fast but It'll make you millions. It's absolutely OP but it does use trees fast so do work for the money in that way. You'll need to purchase the sell point for the playground equipment it's $500. 👌🏼
@@sonnyjimm23 not sure how many mods I’ll be using. Want it to be somewhat difficult lol
@FarmingSimSWU as someone who plays console only without super strength or free t/forming I assure you that filling that sawmill with trees so it doesn't run out is no easy task lol. But fair play man, you do you.
@@sonnyjimm23 I have a plan. We will see how it goes. 🤣
Great series idea! Also, ive heard cuttig it down to "usuable" lengths makes a difference to price
After you cut the tree down - de limb it. You will get more money. 6m -9m will get you the best price. There are several mods that will help you manage the length of the tree actually. I suggest a good weight and a dedicated tractor with four way steering for loading a log trailer.
Yo keep up the brilliant content (please continue the white farm series) KEEP THE GOOD WORK UP
Yep. We will pick that back up after I conclude New Lands.
@@FarmingSimSWU ok thank you so much
You reminded me how much I hate logging, though watching you do it, and struggle with the game mechanics makes me feel better
Also, not nearly as miserable watching you log, than doing it myself 😂
Oh I hate it. I’m looking forward to finally trying out some of the forestry mods though.
@@FarmingSimSWU more power to ya for sticking it out for a play through
I think it was farm sim guy that had used but made it way to OP for me, forage wagons with 2 mil L capacity
But cool mods, the lumber storage acted as a distribution center, and the heavy forestry machinery is always fun to use.
Definitely looks easier with proper joysticks and steering wheels rather than my setup of an Xbox controller :p
Shoot I can’t even commit to GPS. I’m more of the “farm manager” as you put it- let the AI and course play do all my farming 😂
This is going to be epic! I haven’t seen a series like this, excited to see where it goes
One thing thats annoying is the saw dust from the sawmill.... U cant just automatically move it.... So o used a trailer that can pick things up and put it where it spawns with a spare tractor and just have keep ignition on and have it suck up the saw dust while im doing lumbering
I suppose if the silo doesnt get used in the future, it could be sold to boost the income a bit more? could get in at least 25k from it
Hmm. 🤔 is that too easy though.
@@FarmingSimSWU potentially, i guess it could tbh, might be nice as a bit of yard decoration then if it would be to easy, on the other hand it adds a bit of character to show that it was once a grain farm
Awsome job on new series. Tried this map before i really knew how to do things. The small do it your self maps are awsome. Props to the creators of these style maps. Really brings out your own style of playing and positioning of everything.
you have to de-limb the tree to get the most money
@@jeremykross6792 I guess that would make sense. Does it matter when moving it to the saw mill?
@@FarmingSimSWUPretty sure it only matters for selling the wood. Don't think there is a penalty from the sawmill.
6-8 meters seems to be the best for profit when cutting trees.
Yes!
The problem with doing this if u dont delimb or completely the industry deducts its value they should be 2k roughly not 14 hundred
Where can I find the maps you’re playing in? 🙃
Yes😅
What map is this?
Alone in the world. I’ll add a link to the description later today.
Thank you!
Prolly a dumb ah comment but whats the map called?
Alone in the world
@@itzColpo thank you
