if you bought a roughing end mill. that would be the same finish as the finishing end mill you used..the plasma cutter is nice to have , but have you see a pro with a gas axe? when i was an apprentice millwright, my journeymen could cut 3-D scallops for the mill fixtures with a marker . bluing spray , straight edge and a gas axe. he would touch them up with air grinders then files, he was a mould making / tool maker master machinist from Russia , his farther was a machinist trainer in the CCCP army. the gas axe would suffice, the axil slots would still need to be machined and finished , you would want a 16 um finish on the slot . the end mill at 1800 rpm feeding at .8 feet/ min. under a load to boot, .. ps on at lath it's called a cross slid, on a mill everything is called the table, being the lath/ mill has a cross slide for the slot by looking at it 4 to 6 degrees off of horizontal to the ground. i wish i had your toys
You need to get ahold of a American company that make plasma cutters and tell them you have a YT channel that is a every day do it yourselfer channel that would love to spotlight thier product... What could it hurt ???

That sounds cool, I will have to look up a gas axe in action. I am still thinking of getting the triple clamp plates cnc cut for me.
So a gas axe is the same thing as a cutting torch? I was picturing something out of Star Wars 😆
