I bought a first gen Hayabusa the first year they came out. Over the years I have owned 6, my most recent a gen 3 (2023, all black) that I have put 3,000 miles on. The gen 3 is by far the most competent of them all.
I wasn't going to reply regarding work, but decided I would. It's not so much 'what I do' as the fact I am able to do copious amounts of overtime. It's actually orange, but it definitely showed up red on camera. It's a GREAT looking bike in person. Definitely has some presence to it. It looks and feels special.
Hmm, mines an 09. First bike I have owned more than 2 years. You wont be disappointed with the heritage behind this machine. I suspect a few of my friends will be dropping by to have a look, it will be interesting to see who picks it up.
I'm confused, Is this 25th anniversary edition bike's colour Red or Blaze orange because in some videos it looks like it's red & in some it's orange. Exactly which colour is it ?
It's orange, but for some reason, my camera has a tough time accurately reproducing the colour. I have the same issue when I film KTM bikes. The orange isn't accurate.
I just bought one here in the USA. I heard there were only 800 distributed in America and I also heard only 300. How can I find out what number mine is?
If it was between the H2, Ninja ZX-14R and a Busa, I’d probably go with the Busa, mainly due to its ability to tour and the large 3rd party market. Kawasaki is doing some nice things but there’s something to be said for a bike that’s been around for 25 years and is still supported by 3rd parties. Suzuki seems to have a few bikes like that.
I had an 02 Busa. I just ordered this bike 2 weeks ago. My rep got it from Suzuki. I put a single Akapovic pipe on my 02. I’m immediately getting rear plate / fender kit, but what’s your opinions on changing pipes on these today
@@dire-decadenceDid you check out the Ninja ZX-14R? Seems close to the Busa. I still like the Busa better but the H2 is a sweet bike all around. Just looked at the H2 again. She’s a beauty. Enjoy that!
@@SteveSteeleSoundSymphony That’s a mighty motorcycle my man, I appreciate the inference. You’re right, it is reminiscent of a Busa’-though in its own right it’s a beautiful bike. I sold my 2022 Hayabusa because it was too heavy for me 267kg. I never felt confident turning this bike at slow speed. If you drop the bike it could be expensive! I also had trouble selecting 2nd gear at times. Some bike reviewers also complained about the same problem. It is a lovely bike and sounds wonderful but that weight got the better of me.
Where did you find the information that America was only getting 25? I have looked all over and havent found any info on that. Will they also be numbered?
I'm not good at predicting what will rise in value or not, but yes, it is a limited edition. Only 25 of these are coming to Canada. I'm not sure of the exact numbers coming to other areas.
Oh man. I'm not a scientist. All I can tell you is that colours on camera (or on your screen) will almost never look exactly as they do in person. In this video, the bike appears to be red. In real life it appears to be more orange.
I'm not a crotch rocket kinda guy, but I've always loved the Busa. I don't know if it would handle my fat ass or if I'd like it. I know, right of the bat, I'd want to go with a wide front tire. I see on Faceplant all the time that the Harleys handle PHENOMENALLY with a 180 front. My pickup is almost paid off. I just might have to look into buying a Busa....
Love me busa and yes it is restricted to 189 mph but to all you dreamers who think thats slow🤔get off the keyboard and go try one ,it will blow ye socks off 😄😄
Really? I don't make the numbers up. For MANY years next year models have been introduced before the calendar year changes over. This is how the global auto industry works. A model year is part of the name, not a number representing the date of manufacture.
You need to be cloned and sent to all auto and motorcycle dealerships. Or at least write a manual with pictures (the level of education is falling dramatically). With all due respect! 🤠
But it's got a cool paint scheme and badging! It's still unique, and it's an anniversary edition where only 25 are being sent to this country. That may not be the type of rare that you want to see, but it's still a unique and relatively rare version of a familiar bike.

So I thought about that, but what would you want them to do? It's not like this is a mid-range bike for them where they can dig into their parts bin and put a higher end component on it from a more sporty bike. As legendary as the Hayabusa is, it's still not a high volume bike as far as sales numbers, so you can't add so much that you price it too high to sell. Maclean's Sports sells a LOT of bikes but even they still have a 2023 model next to it in the showroom. So I think it's a tough thing to do. We can all say what we'd like this thing to be, but unless we're willing to part with our money for it, I kind of understand why Suzuki did what they've done.
