They didn't think people would like it or get the musical contrasts. But they took it, added their flavor to it, and made it awesome. Like everything NCT does, it's all based on their dream concept. Hence, why in NCT-127's "Favorite (Vampire)" they are vampires and why you see them sleeping in the beginning and end of the MV. Jaehyun was bit by the vampire which is the girl they sing about and she is the one that turned them all into vampires.
