I live in a studio apartment, so I have to utilize every nook and cranny for storage! I have yarn and notions in my bookshelves, on top-of-closet shelves, and in under-bed storage bins (figuring out I could fit yarn under my bed was a game changer!). The key for me is keeping everything very clearly labelled so it's obvious at a glance what is on a shelf or what's inside each bin. I got a pretty sky blue color of painters/washi style tape and I label label label everything!! 🧶🩵,,b
I just use a stitch marker around the loose tail and one or more of the rolled up bits (almost like you do with the hair clip) depending on how big the stitch marker is compared to the yarn. You probably already have them and they don’t squish the yarn. Bonus, less lost stitch markers.

Hi Annie! Those are some great ideas. Love your safety eye organizer especially ❤
