    Fun fact: Game 4 of the 2017 NLDS was Strasburg’s “flu game” often forgotten about. Some viewed it as gamesmanship, others thought he was just being “weak”. And then he came in and had his 12K gaming forcing game 5. And it turned out he really was pretty sick and gutted it out.

He'd go 0 for 6 one day and then 6 for 6 the next. Great centerfielder, fast and intelligent base runner, one of the best utility men a team could ask for, and also a great human being. Nats fans will always love and appreciate Michael A. for giving everything he had every game. He's also a postseason LEGEND who helped us get a world title and is a world champion forever!!!

    I was in the gold seats about 10 rows back of home plate. Fans were hard on Werth and Harper that night, but 5-2 lead in the 9th? It wasn't Taylor's fault the Dodgers loaded the bases, but with the bases loaded and Puig at the plate, you just knew something was going to happen. And if I recall, that was Yasiel Puig bobblehead night, but yeah, easily the worst game for an everyday player I ever saw. For a pitcher, I saw Mark Pryor, in his first appearance off the DL, gave up 7 home runs at Wrigley in the first 2-3 innings. That was in 2006, I think.

    My favorite player in the league. No swagger, moonwalking,gold necklaces and acting like a gangster everytime he hits a homerun. As soon as he makes contact(look at him when he hit that 492ft bomb) he drops his bat , looks down and starts sprinting towards first base. Thats how the game should be played. I hate fckrs like fernando tatis jr. I mean why try to act like a gangster when all you did was merely hit a homerun in a baseball game?

  • @fogelmclovin2694
    @fogelmclovin2694 3 года назад +1

    This year he has an average WAR for a regular starting player... but is the best fielder in the league. His UZR (fielding stat used for WAR) is the best in the league and way above second place. UZR takes into account the position which you field, though. Still, he’s also has the third largest contribution in defence this year, which is crazy for an outfielder because infielders, in particular catchers and shortstops, are way more likely to contribute to defence. So much so that 35/37 of the leaders in defensive contribution are infielders. And Taylor, as an outfielder, is so good that he is third.

  • @joshuapatrick682

    The Adam Eaton’s, michael Taylors and other ten year players really make the game what it is. The elite can maybe stay in the game 15-20 years. The good stay about 10-12. The average 5-7 and the rest don’t even make it.

  • @joshuapatrick682
    @joshuapatrick682 2 года назад +1

    Taylor is doing solid with KC won a gold glove as the best defensive CFer in the league and got another 2 years and 9 million for his efforts. He’s putting together what will possibly be his 2nd best season ever in 2022 if not best.

    So the Nats won the World Series with an arguably worse team overall than any of the teams they beat. So how did they do it? Variance? Or did they play a brand of baseball that the 95 plus game winners have sort of gotten away from?

I love my Reds but Bauer has done everything just short of outright saying "I cheated to win that Cy Young", Miley got that no-no along with everyone else at the start of the season and then the league finally started cracking down on substances and the rest of Miley's season has been a very resounding, very-Reds-esque "meh" at best.
