My husband calls Skippack "A Little Cuter Than It Oughta Be" (spent a lot of time in Skippack over the years). Great list. I thought "If he doesn't mention Jenkintown and Ambler, he doesn't know walkable little towns.
My wife and I just sold our home in Baltimore and are looking for a place to put down roots with our daughter. As former NYC residents walkability is super important to us, as well as safety and schools (hence why we are leaving Baltimore). I noticed you didn't mention Media which comes up on a lot of list, is there a reason for that? We are taking a few months to spend at the beach and relax for a bit before we dive in and really start looking again, but I might be reaching out.
Media is a great place to live. There isn't necessarily a reason as to why it wasn't on this specific list. There are so many different suburbs with a walkable downtown, so there are a bunch of good ones that I didn't mention, Media being one. If I listed them all, it would've been like a 45-minute video. I'm happy to help you all with finding a place to put down roots. Feel free to reach out whenever you're ready. Might not be a bad idea to speak before you spend a few months at the beach so I can recommend some more places to research based on your lifestyle, budget, etc. Talk soon! No mention of Swarthmore. Any reason why?
Doylestown is probably one of the best suburbs on the East coast. It has remarkable history and old charm and very rich in arts and culture.
Don't disagree. But when I used to work there, we always said their motto should be "equally inaccessible to everywhere"
Doylestown definitely has great history. The mercer mile is really cool to see and I enjoy all of the community events they put on every year.

I'm glad I mentioned Jenkintown and Ambler then! 😂
Thanks for watching and commenting!
