Glad you enjoyed it!
Journey makes travel classical guitars out of wood as well. I guess they would be less sturdy than the carbon fibre but might have better projection and tone? Also dude your channel is amazing. Love your playing and your tutorials are gold. Thanks for helping us out! Love from India :)
For sure! I might be trying out one of those soon too
Now that’s pretty cool. Wonderfully produced video btw, I appreciate when people put the effort into production values. I’m going to take a look at this option, as I want to take up classical guitar, but also worryabout taking a good instrument along on my other passion, camping. Plus I like the look. Thanks for the review.
There is a wooden model: FC522 as well, have you tried that one?
How does it compared to the carbon fiber model if you did tried it
Absolutely loving your lessons bro. Thank you so much for the lessons ❤️❤️
I love the way this guitar looks :)
right??
Could test the ergoplay and the others tools used to replace the footrest, compare the stability and the convenient of each, ... its just à thought, although i am wandering what strings you are using whith your guitars
sorry if my english isnt good, i am french
You should definitely do more reviews!! I always wanted a travel guitar and this one looks sick. Too bad for my wallet, is a little out for my budget. I love that you are exploring new content. Keep up the amazing work!!
thanks amaury!
I really wanted to love this guitar, I bought one planning to replace the steel string version from Journey but I had to send it back as it just wasn't loud enough to use without amplification
It would be interesting if you would be able to review guitar from luthier Piotr Aleksander Nowak, one like Łukasz Kapuściński owns.
Although I'm guessing it's rather unlikely... Nice video btw :D
oh yeah his guitar is awesome! would love to get my hands on one
Well, it's a special sound... But, I like it :)
My qeustions are:
About comfort, so that's also carbon strings? And what tension?
About video:
I like this new format, but I want more closeups... Tuning mechanisms, as example. And it would be good to listen also something more loud, like strumming.. For more detailed comparison.
And yes,
Long live fretboard freedom!
It comes with Savarez 520 White Card Traditional Series (low tension) strings. Thanks for the feedback Ruslan!
@@BeyondTheGuitarAcademy Thanks for the answer!
You can run high tension strings on this with no problem.
The word you are looking for which references “dystopian future in a good way” is…. Solarpunk. Just run a RUclips search for that and you will likely like what you find.
A Nylon String Carbon Fiber guitr is a dream 🙏🏽
The Lava Me 2 sounds amazing with it's internal amp you charge via USB port and costs $500 less... but it is steel string and don't know if they even make a classical guitar model... just looking around at carbon fiber travel guitars hoping to find a nylon string classical model.
Right? I would definetly buy a Lava Me 2 classical nylon string guitar version
@@RiveraViktor Hi Viktor! I think there must not be big enough of a demand to make a nylon string version profitable. Also it seems they only have one neck width which seems for small hands. If I had to at last resort I would buy a steel string Lava Me 2 if they had different neck widths. Have you seen any with wider necks?
When it’s time to travel it’s time to take a break from playing guitar.
But can you take scoops of ice scream with your scoop away? If so: best travel hack ever.
I like the way you think. I'll get back to you on that one
For the love of god could you please spend more time playing it rather than prattling on.
I played one of these the other day - the sound was terrible.
It sounded great! I always held my breath when you traveled with your concert guitars. This is so wonderful! Beautiful, too.
hi, please what is the song played in the INTRO ?
Neck guitar wood or fiber?
Please, make a video about capo, but don't forget about ear training 3 :) and be safe because I want to learn more theory from you
Do the string come loose at the bridge?
A carbon classical? Well, now I have seen everything, and can die in peace;-)
haha right??
have you checked out the lava me ?
I have a request, could you make an arrangement of a medley of Game of Thrones themes. I have seen the GOT theme of yours which is fantastic, there's a whole lot more of them check it out!
Where can I order one of these ?
Do these cost an arm & a leg or kidney & a liver or the price of a round the world ticket ??🙃
This was super helpful! I also own a Cervantes, so having the raw comparison was wonderfully informative. Thank you, so much! Also, good point about weddings and other gigs that I hadn't considered. Much appreciated.

Can you do a vid about how you record and process your guitar audio. Sounds great.
I just watched your video very informative what brand of nylon strings would you recommend for journey collapsible guitars ?
Hey I just bought a new spruce guitar at 4,300€ I am super happy 😀😀😀 how much does your spruce classical guitar? @beyondtheguitaracademy
Too cool! Yes, more gear reviews from a dystopian (or modern) mindset!
haha you got it!
This is a pretty cool guitar, but I probably couldn't afford it. One day, I might get a travel guitar, but I probably will get a Martin LX1 or LX1E. It's under $500. It's the guitar that Ed Sheeran uses and I have tried one in a Guitar Center. It sounded and felt good. I liked the review and hope to see more reviews, maybe of more budget friendly items.
I like the new content. I'd love to see more guitar reviews!
awesome!
I would suggest installing a ToneWood amp in that guitar for volume, tone, and effects, and even midi capabilities.
Thanks for doing this Nathan. Please make more product reviews from your dystopian viewpoint. 😜
2:46 What did you play? Sounded very fantasy medieval like!
Looks interesting. If the neck width was 52mm and it had 19 frets I would buy one.
Well I'd live to see some gadgets n guitar
anything in particular?
This is a very useful video, thank you so much!
Por favor coloca legenda em português 🇧🇷
Just heard about this guitar today, saw it on classical guitarist Stephanie Jones' IG post.
Thanks for the great video. Would love to see reviews and guides on how to mike a classical guitar. Keep it up!
I would like to know what equipment you use to recored and edit your playing :)
We need more carbon fiber guitars for acoustics and electrics so we don’t need truss rods
Really interesting guitar and review. Would love to see more reviews from you of guitars and mikes etc
Hi, Nathan. Great review and channel. I’ve subscribed! Quick question about your OC660: I just received mine and I find the A string very buzzy at the lower frets. Have you noticed this on yours as well?
Hey thanks Ross! No, I would definitely reach out to them about that
Looks super cool? How does the 1-7/8 nut width feel? Not too uncomfortable?
It might feel a little tighter, but honestly I didn't even think about it until you just asked that. The difference is definitely subtle
@@BeyondTheGuitarAcademy Cool, I do lots of gig at Senior living places, and since where I live is so crazy hot (PHX, AZ) this instrument may be suitable to be carried around. Thanks for the reply!
WOW, it sounds beautiful!
You got a tan, friend :)
The guitar looks fanatastic but I have read that the nut width is less than the standard 52mm - did you find the narrower neck a playability issue?
It didn't bother me. But there is a subtle difference
@@BeyondTheGuitarAcademy Many thx for your quick response.
I would like to see your electric guitars
I'll do a studio tour video sometime this year
Awesome!
Thanks Renato!
