I would love to see Kyprios at Flemington in November for the Melbourne Cup, but realistically speaking there's just no way he'd ever be weighted to where Aidan O'Brien and the Coolmore partnership would ever consider it in my opinion. That said, screw running in the Prix du Cadran again. Give this colt a shot at lining up in the Arc. Order of St George was given a shot at the race twice and ran very well both times, finishing 3rd of 16 behind stablemates Found & Highland Reel in 2016 and 4th of 18 behind Enable, Cloth of Stars, & Ulysses in 2017. Not knocking Order of St George at all, but I believe Kyprios is better than he was. In a 12F race like the Arc, I think Kyprios has better tactical speed and for a late closing kick I know he's got a quicker turn of foot. In a year the Arc field is not likely to be loaded with many superstars, why wouldn't or shouldn't O'Brien, Coolmore, & Moyglare Stud take a shot with Kyprios?
@@GBeret83 exactly. I've donated $5 at 33/1 for him to win but happy to lose it. It would provide some real star-power to the race and on the brightside if it's as Soft as usual he won't have any issues.
@@DannyLalor-t6e I find it hard to see him winning as well. The size of the field is a huge factor as you've stated. I couldn't imagine him rounding the field from WTMF and if he races close to the pace it's likely his energy bar will be depleted by the time they hit the 200m mark.
