Cause most of the sale or even the customers aren't real. It's scripted - they find people who own interesting stuff and get them to come and play as a customer. I don't mind it - I enjoy seeing and hearing about the items. How do I know it's scripted? A person I know was on the show to sell his Nintendo World Championship copy for NES. Now those things go for tens of thousand of $. They haggled and he refused to sell. The catch? He never intended to sell in the first place - he was contacted by the show......
You ever notice places that sell used/rare items also sell things on consignment? Thats because the shop isnt able to buy the item outright like Rick, otherwise they would and make a lot more money.
Oh god... not again... it’s a pawn shop. He’s not taking the book as end user or for charity. He’s buying it so he can sell it and make money, plus pay taxes etc... so yeah, 9,5k is a more than fair price. And thank god this guy, Adam, knows how it works and always manages to get an agreement with Rick. He is a reasonable person/seller.

You’re actually not supposed to wear gloves with antique books. You want your sense of feel at 100% when handling an old book otherwise you can end up accidentally damaging it because your sense of feel is dulled.
