Brilliant. IMO, it's always better to have an actor read a poem, than the poet, because it brings another dimension to the experience-particularly with a phonetic poem. Whenever I go to a poetry reading and hear the the poet read his/her own work, I invariably think- "Who came up with the idea of having the poet read"? That's like having the fashion designer model his own clothes.
@GDB >>Missing The Point 101 Study the score. It's extremely, vigorously, rigidly structured; the whole thing. It really is a classical sonata done with syllables. It makes sense that a performer would try to reflect that. I've done it in my own performances of the piece; and even if you try to fight it, it comes out anyway. Also, Jaap Blonk loosening up: already done plz; look at his other performances.
I'll take "How My Car Sounded This Morning" for $2,000, Alex. Seriously, my favorite performance of this...whatever just happened" (in a good jazz way).
It's been 9 years but maybe you are still looking for informations : basically he is performing that weird act to show that the sounds are more poetic than the words in that kind of recitation. I guess in 9 years you had time to make some reaserches if you felt like it ^^ Shit, you might even be dead. Hope that last decade was great for you anyway.
curious that people think this is the product of free time. beats playing WoW, yes? interesting performance, much different than Christian Bok's treatment.
Sabon by Jan Tschihold. Another "entartete Kunstler" according to the Nazis. Approproate use really. Dada is suppose to make you wtf? Random kids, it's just random, don't think about it too much. ;o)
He performed a 20-minute version of this on my first day of college, it was... refreshing.
I'm surprised this has not been memed yet.
It already is on its own
It just became a meme on TikTok . 4 years later
This is one of the best performances of Ursonate I have heard and it still gets the reaction it had in the beginning. That's just great!

This provides to society about as much as any other piece of *music* does, and considerably more than many guitar solos...

It's funny how some people really like this piece. It's not what Schwitters wanted when he wrote this.
Utter bollocks
Пиздатое караоке
Then I guess he failed
this is all at once impressive and incredibly pathetic recall...
Bloody accent.
